Curvey Hill, Switcher & Geep Locomotives Make Music To My Ears Working Hard & Ambulance Run Near Me!

Listen To These 4 Axle Locomotives Take A Heavy Train Up A Steep & Winding Hill! Purina Is Installing New Railroad Spurs In This Video & Mount Orab Fire Department Gets An Emergency Call Near Me! Short Line Railroading At Its Best In Ohio! This is the Cincinnati Eastern Railroad CCET and they have a heavy rock and grain train being pulled by a GP15-1 and an MP15DC. Classic railroading on my favorite Norfolk Southern line that I grew up with.
I was coming back from Batavia, Ohio getting my special license plates renewed. Aubrey sent me a text that a train was going through Mount Orab. I decided to film it going up Williamsburg Hill. First, I stopped at Afton. I heard a crew switching the 4 track yard with the SD40-2. The first thing you will see is an update on the tracks going in for Purina. I got the best shots that I possibly could but the chain link fence makes it difficult to see. Notice that several tracks are being installed.
Then we go to Williamsburg with Chessie to watch the train attack the hill. It was awesome to see the little switcher and a Geep pulling a heavy train! This train has loads of rock, loads of grain and some empty flat cars that are being moved from storage. I was told by the railroad that the flat cars are being converted from auto racks to flat cars in stages. With every stage of work the cars are moved back and forth. Notice in my previous videos that these cars have other appliances on them.
It was awesome watching the locomotives give it their all to get these heavy cars over the hill. Just listen to that EMD power! After the train passed me it arrived at Afton Yard where the SD40-2 had been switching. The SD40-2 was put on the front of the train and it shut down in the yard for the night. It started pouring on the way home. I stopped at Krogers and right when I turned into the parking lot I heard the Mount Orab Fire Department get a run there for an unresponsive male in a pickup truck. We see the police and fire department respond in with several vehicles. After I got my Red Bull and Kinder bueno minis I went home to find out the latest information on Hobo Shoestring. There have been no changes. He is still missing. His family made a live broadcast on TikTok on the channel dirt_commander. They are going to have more live broadcasts until he is found. There will be live broadcasts on Thursday (today) for sure. A large scale search is going to take place on Saturday the 6th which just so happens to be the day that I was hatched. Everyone is invited to meet at the boat launch at Lake Boone at 9am but make sure you watch the live broadcasts also. Donations are being accepted to cover the family's cost. There are links on dirt_commander and nowhereman TikTok channels.
I know it's obvious that I am still having trouble talking since I had that operation. I'm going back in a couple weeks for more work and hopefully it will help me to talk better. I can't talk much because of the pain but I should be back to normal in a couple months at most. Don't forget the slide show!

I live in Bessemer, Alabama. Where i live there use to be Southern Rail Road Tracks just right across the street. They took the rails up about 30 years ago. 3 blocks behind my house is csx . They run down to the mines down to Brookwood. I use to be a Police Officer thier and i would always help the Rail Road out. Kcs runs on the csx lines from Tuscaloosa to Birmingham. I have a bunch of stories. I pray that Mark is ok and found safe.

Thanks for the update on Shoestring. I'll keep on praying for his safe return but missing for over a week it doesn't look good. He's had a rough time of it the last few years. I've known him a fair while and prayed for him a lot during his cancer treatment as I'm also a cancer survivor. He deserves better than he's had these last few years. Thanks also for the Purina update. Looks to be a real big operation. Should give CCET a more secure future!

Wow, do I miss the sound of that Nathan P3 horn. Up until 1996, I used to hear that model horn all the time in the Sacramento, CA due to being the heart of Southern Pacific operations from their Roseville, CA yard. Nowadays, it's mostly K3 variants and K5LLA mounted on Union Pacific locomotives.

Glad to see progress at Purina it's that much closer to new revenue for CCET. It is ironic that that power set could be duplicated in the Buffalo NY area on some of the Genesee and Wyoming properties there. I'm surprised the frames on those gondolas are still intact with all that weight and then the sudden sag in power going up the hill. Just like the spring flowers about to Bloom for spring those Trailer Train cars are about to make their magical transformation into a new rail car.

I don't know what the safety regulations are for the private railroads on that. Also, have you ever thought about using an inferred thermometer to check the temperature of the rails before a train and after?

Yes, that is why they are removing the red lights from it. They removed three at Eastgate and now they are in the process of removing one in Mt Orab. It is pretty nice
