In example 3 you found angular acceleration by just differentiating the angular velocity. But in the second example when the angular displacement is given you did not find by taking the derivative of that instead you used the velocity equation. May I know why?
@QuestionSolutions
@QuestionSolutions 8 ай бұрын
The 2 questions ask for 2 different things. In the 2nd example, we are looking for the angular velocity, where as in the 3rd example, we are looking for radial and transverse components of velocity.

pls help, im having a problem with this problem for a short distance the train travels along a track having the shape of a spiral, r=(1000/θ)m, where θ is in radian. if it maintains a constant speed V= 20 m/s, determine the radial and transverse of components of its velocity when θ=(9π/4)rad.
@QuestionSolutions
@QuestionSolutions 4 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I don't answer questions like this because it opens up a flood gate of problems where I'd have to solve all the questions posted as comments. To give you a hint to your problem, draw it out, with the spiral and plug in the theta value given to you, which will give you a "r" value in meters. Also, there are forums that help students with questions as well, so please look into them :) Thanks!

As radial velocity in uniform circular motion is zero then why radial acceleration exists??
@QuestionSolutions
@QuestionSolutions 4 жыл бұрын
Acceleration has 2 components whenever an object is travelling along a curve. One is towards the center, while one goes perpendicular to the curve. When an object is not on a curve, then radial acceleration is 0. So if its on a curve, it will have a radial acceleration, but if its on a straight path, then there is no radial acceleration.

Will you do give examples and show how to solve problems you don't explain where all the equations are coming from :(
@QuestionSolutions
@QuestionSolutions Жыл бұрын
So these videos are meant to be a supplement to your textbook/ lectures. They aren't meant to be a replacement. They are there only to reinforce what you learned in class and just to show how to solve examples because most of the time, a lot of theory is taught in class with few examples. To see derivations of these equations, please see your textbook, or look for channels that showcase theory over examples :)

@QuestionSolutions
@QuestionSolutions 4 жыл бұрын
@@llltv2815 I am sorry but I am unsure of what you are asking? θ dot^2 is part of the radial acceleration, it's just part of the equation on how to find it. To get a feel for these questions, you should do as many as possible, if you can do 5 or 6 questions in this chapter, you should be fine. I also encourage you to solve the questions I've solved and see if you can do them alone, and if you get stuck, look at the video and go through it step by step. :)
