Great everything!, about the Saber's small mute point. After all the Molders didn't consider it when producing the Figures. I Fidget it with Small Scale, Action Figures. Until my Mid Teens. Then My Mom said quit Playing with Them. Ohh the Hours they Occupied of my Time. IT was an Awesome, Tranquil World? I could immerse Myself into. Thing was I didn't have the Imagination or Dream too Pursue that Love of Reenactment. Ohh well such is Life A. But the One Above is Simply Magnificent, & Displays a Very Tragic, But Historic Day in this Countries, History. Most Excellent Work in every Detail, Keep it Up.

This is a beautiful setup and great job painting the figures. Reading all the comments about nobody carried sabres at the LBH, all I can say is ease up people! I've painted thousands of cavalry and old west soldiers and almost all that can be purchased carry a sword. This to me is a minor detail. The qualify of this setup, painting and creating of the diroama is excellent. I do have to ask, how large is the base for the setup? It looks quite large. Thanks again.

An excellent small scale rendition of an Epic Day in both Cultures History. IT'S too bad the Creator used so many figures with saber's, as the NCO's and lower rank trooper's were not carrying Their with them. Other than that mistake. The entire Diorama was really, really an exceptional piece of authentic work, that is Very nice to See. Thanks for Sharing it. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🤔🤔👍👍

Very cool. One small tip if you don't mind from a fellow model maker. Never paint the whites of the eyes white as it creates that bug eyed look. Try a eggshell blue tint and only show the very corners of the whites of their eyes , also don't do the Irish as a circle because the eyelids usually cover the top and bottom . The smaller the scale the less white area needed. Still a great job.👍

Chief gall the hunkpapa Lakota sioux Indian War leader was only one to fight on both sides of the little bighorn battle field June 25,1876. When he lost his entire family to the murders American soldiers. His anger which Led to the Reno battle of retreat and last stand Hill were Custer's entire command lost there lives to the hands of Lakota sioux, Arapaho and Cheyenne warriors. Because he raced to both sides after defeating one group of hundred fifty soldiers then going after the force of two hundred soldiers. Because all three tribes had over willing fire power. To this day his Lakota people remembered what Chief gall done at the battle of grease grass. To the great honor of victory.

Yes sir, Custer decided not to take cavalry sabers along on the mission. One more thing inaccurate is the U. S. flag. The stars were in a circular pattern, not the neat rows & columns like the modern U. S. flag. This does not take away from the magnificent craftsmanship of the miniature models.

I noticed a lot of Atlantic HO scale figures in this diorama so not all are 54mm or did you copy the figure and print them out larger with a 3D printer?

For info, Atlantic did make 1/32 sets of their western range. Not sure if all were scaled up, but they did some interesting extra stuff like wagons and Gatling guns. They get a slating from purists but I liked them!

The LBH failed because of the treachery of Reno and Benteen with the backing of Grant. Custer was a gifted cavalry officer and what happened at the LBH should have caused a huge red flag that something was terribly wrong.
@robertwaid35792 жыл бұрын
Hey S A K, I Disagree Entirely with Your Comment. Once the Dakota Column under Terry's Command was Divided at the Yellowstone River/Rosebud Cr. Encampment for the Expedition too the LBH. No One had any Means of Altering the Eventual Outcome Other than Custer Himself. Under His Orders, First Major Reno, and then Captain Benteen, Performed Thier Duties, & Orders as Given. Once Reno Retreated Out of the Valley, too the Bluffs. He was the Senior Commander in the Field? Once Capt. Benteen's, Battalion joined Him. Thier Combined Leadership? Was so Confused & in Disarray that had they Advanced & Rengaged the Hostiles. Chances are the Entire Regiment, would have been Wiped Out. FYI Don't Forget that Captain Weir took His Troop Forward? Without Orders or Permission too the High Point, now Named After Him. When RENO & BENTEEN then joined Him. They had too Fight A Rearguard Action. Too Extricate Him, & Enable the Remaining Troop's too Return too the Defensive Perimeter on the Hill's & Bluff. After that Action late in the Afternoon of June 25th, 1876. The Regiment was Able too Hold Out until Relieved on the Morning of June 27th by Gen. Terry & Col. Gibbons Columns. So refresh your Memory and Information about the Fact's. Also My last Comment is? That Lt. Colonel George Armstrong Custer was almost, Two Days Early in Reaching the Supposed Site of the Encampment. Thus I feel He ignored His Orders, from Terry. And He Had Pushed His Men, n Horses & His Mission? Beyond what He was Told to do. In My Opinion? Custer was A Decent Commander, in the Field of Indian Warfare, similar too General Crook, Col. Ronald S. Mackenzie, Maj. Reynolds, and Others of His Time. But on that Day in June His Luck, just Ran Out. The Native's Were Ready for Anyone on That Day. Plus they were Determined to Fight to the End Also. Wyoming, Robert, 🇨🇦🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇸🤔🤔👀👀👍👍🙏🙏🙏

@@robertwaid3579 Grant really is the elephant in the room. He wanted Custer to fail so he could dismiss him from the Service in retribution for his very damaging Congressional testimony. The LBH was supposed to be a four prong attack, that went in simultaneously like the Washita. Benteen was at the Washita so he knew Custer's tactics. What was problematic for Benteen was that Weir was also at the Washita and knew Benteen wasn't sent on a scout or that Reno was ordered to attack alone. Weir came up dead by the following December. Custer was a very gifted cavalry officer and what happened at the LBH should have raised a huge red flag that something was terribly wrong. The Indians did exactly what the Army expected them to do. Custer attacked from one side of the village and left the back door open to give the Indians some place to go. When surprised, the Indians would scattered, leaving their possessions behind. The Army would come in and destroy them with the main objective being the neutralizing of Indian mobility by destroying and capturing their horses. This would leave left the Indians destitute, forcing them to return to the reservation. Grant interfered with Custer like he interfered with Burnside at the Crater, getting Burnside dismissed.

@@31terikennedy Hey S A K, Again we don't Agree. Fine. You have your Views. And I have My Views. Custer was Impulsive, Egotistical, Rash, and He took ill Advised Chance's on the Field of Battle. His Record & History at West Point all Pointed out His Failings even before His Accomplishments in the Civil War. I Don't Care how You want too Blame, Other's for Custer's Demise & His Destruction at LBH. But as I said before His Luck & His Strategy Obviously ran Out on Him that Day. When He arrived in the LBH Valley, that June afternoon? His Regiment was Tired, Horse's wearing Out, & needing Water. He assumed the Hostiles already knew of His Presence. Instead of Attacking then in Four Battalions, He should of stayed Concentrated, & pushed the Hostiles West & North toward General Terry's Command, & or Southwest toward Crook's Column. See that's One of My Views or Thoughts about the Whole thing. And of Course we now know that? He & General Terry & Gibbon had no Clue of Crook's Fight & Repulse at the Battle OF The Rosebud a Week Earlier. FGK Let's just say it was AF upped Campaign in the End. I don't know about You? But I'm done Discussing it. Thanks for Sharing Though.
@31terikennedy2 жыл бұрын
@@robertwaid3579 You know very little of tactics. You divide and maneuver on offence to increase the enemies lines of expectations so he can't concentrate at the point of your attack. Custer was last in his class because half resigned and went south. Custer didn't want to attack right away, like the Washita, he wanted to wait, organize and choose the time to attack. The report that Indians had found a lost bread box forced his hand. His Indian scouts wanted him to attack right away because they knew the village would be surprised. The three converging columns were designed to squeeze, contain and encourage the Indians to concentrate. Gibbon, coming from the west, had 450 men. including straight leg infantry, wasn't looking for a fight but could defend himself. The Indians would just move away from him. Crook, from the south, was the blocking force. The Indians left the reservation to raid and the most likely route was south. Crook stopped them and sent them back up to Custer. Crook didn't pursue because that would spooked the Indians into not concentrating. Custer was always the tip of the spear. The government policy was to convince the Indians to return to the reservation. It was a raid to make the Indians destitute and force them to return The evidence has always been there staring you right in the face.
