Note: - Both a slash or a backslash works in the visual_processed (30:10 you do NOT need to switch the / to a \ like I did here) - If you want to "export as FBX" your custom model through Tank Exporter, that way you can load it into blender with the proper textures, make sure you do not delete the .model and .vt file or else tank exporter will say there are no entries in the visual_processed.

Hey chems, i need help. when i try to import my FBX file after converting to 2009 into the tank eporter it gives me this error while it tries to load the file, any idea how to solve this issue? "unhandled eception has occurred in your application. IndeX was outside of bounds of the array."

Hey chems, I have downloaded and installed Autodesk FBX SDK, but when I open that folder, I cannot find the launcher, so I cannot lauch FBX SDK, is there something I missed?

@johneston if you can find the skin as a mod (for specific tank) then u can download and use that, but if you want to have the skin to use on ANY tank, mods won't work. You'll have to get the actual skin in game. Mod skins replace the default 3d model of a tank so it's on tank by tank basis, you don't have that skin available to use on any other tank like actual ingame skins you unlock/earn.

i've got an issue that the FBX converter installator doesnt instal the actuall app all i see is just an icon for the app, the uninstall program, and some folders ("include, lib, samples") and i couldnt find any information how to fix it/how to find the app or anything like that

chems, what do I do if I use any of your skins on my 3D style, since your fbx uploaded on the website doesn't contain any textures so applying them on any other tank would now just be pink parts

Hey chems Any chance we can get a commander mod with custom voice lines? Basically shit you'd naturally say while gaming regardless of how obscene it can be. Not exactly a modder myself but I'd imagine it would be overwriting the sound files of an already existing custom commander (and ofc a new icon too) Would be really cool to hear "get fucked" each time I get a frag

I have a problem... I can't seem to be able to make bushes look transparent ingame. They are transparent when I import my fbx into Tank Exporter, but not ingame. Even after the XML coding stuff it didn't work. Could someone help me?

anyone else having trouble launching fbx converter? i have it downloaded but i cant launch it, due to the: FBX_Launch being an ICO file and not an .exe whz is it doing that anyone know a solution?

sounds we first need to study Blender and its 1000 possebillities and settings before we can start fooling around on Tank transforming :( But sometimes a bit fast but good understandable...

Thank you for the guide. Is there a way to replace a default skin with 3d model skin? I tried to replace default EBR 105 model with a 'car' skin but the game just crashes when I try to launch it.

Actually I got it running, but for some reason I only got turret from the 3D skin and the rest of tank was default. it seems the issue is in paths to textures and models. So, another interesting questions, is there a way to find unique sounds for 3D skin? Like for 'car' ECB 105 or FV4005 with a steam boiler.

Hello, it works fine but the textures get offset. Is it because i resized stuff in blender? thanks in advance. Edit : I think it's because i joined everything? Terrible idea, i realised. Of course it wouldn't fuse the textures, duh. I really didn't think this through. Edit 2 : And the mesh of the barrel barbs i put on the gun for decor has a mesh that deforms weirdly and stretches across the map, but i think that it's also a joining issue. i'll try without joining next and ensure the mesh is correctly shaped.

It doesn't matter what I edit in blender, after converting back to 2009 I always get this error in TE: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I can remember when I did this myself manually in 2015 or something like that. 😂 It was always hard to find the numbering of the tanks for move the 3D files into that named folder

hi just like know if add ram on front tank and use in game will give more damage to other tank i hit so say you made this use in game as i don't have skin i will not see it but u using it now if u ram me you now do 300 damage to were before u didn't have it did 100 damage is this like cheat now u know do more damage other person in game didn't know, so edit skin chance gun to bigger gun will do more damage or take track off tank add wheels of ebr so go faster would that work play around setting so old now act like EBR as see of late other team seem be going lot faster around the maps and doing more damage just wounder if this is possible.

the only discrepancy i can find between our methods is i used blender 4.0 as opposed to blender 3.5, if that will make the difference

to me the things that i put on the tank are ok, but its not white like his tanks is its textured om tje tank exporter and i cant go foward like him because i loose steps and yeah i use blender 4.1 and im sure im missing somthing i directly put the things i drag from the other 3d skins but somthing its going wrong for me and i cant solve it...

Only you can see them, but you can share the .wotmod file with your friend so they can see it too

Do any of the skin/vehicle mods affect in game hit boxes, is it a possibility that one could alter the size/contours of the ingame hit boxes? Not that I want to cheat..

No, they're only visual changes and doesn't affect hitboxes. You can change the sizes of cupolas and whatnot but its only visible to you since that spesific 3D model is only on your pc as a mod.
