CUSTOM BUILD EVA - [ASMR] RG EVANGELION EVA 01 PAINTED BUILD 新世紀エヴァンゲリオン 初号機 - Episode 2

My first custom build of the RG Evangelion EVA 01/新世紀エヴァンゲリオン 初号機. Trying to find a good balance of ASMR and my usual video style. About the build, I wanted to give it a matte metallic finish and I think it came out well. The green and purple with orange accent colors made the build pop.

I wonder if the plain water is enough to remove the oils on the parts from handling.. I always use soapy water just in case, might as well! What's the point of dividing the pieces by assembly, unless it was random, if you don't snap before painting?

Yeah, in hindsight I should've add some soap since I'm washing it anyway. I found the build much harder to remember compared to the usual MG kits so I kept dividing them all the way up to the final assembly..even then I organized them in a way I can remember which is what :D

@@GunplaNewbie ah, that makes sense. When you had all the pieces arrayed on the paint sticks by color I was like "what?" snapping the kit prior to painting also helps to recognize the parts in my experience, but it is time consuming.

This is actually episode 2. On episode 1 I did assemble the kit which was my first rg kit and honestly it builds like a freaking Lego set...so from that point on wards I always kept them divided knowing I would mess up forgetting which is what

@@GunplaNewbie oh I guess I didn't see that.. I see so many RG Eva things that my eyes pass them over, I guess. I love the RG line, very cool engineering and much of the time better than their MG counterpart (tallgeese 3, unicorn, zeong). Definitely some tiny parts though!

The engineering wise, the Eva kit has been very impressive...given the amount of tiny parts surprisingly there's barely any loose parts...I might do some specialized rg kits like the Eva but maybe next year haha
