Cool enough in theory but I personally prefer nice opaque dice that are simple, clean and easy to read. I like the idea of the reaction dice though.

I am a sucker for things like this... These are really attractive, though I had the same thought that perhaps each die would favour specific results due to the carvings. Also, I agree about colour coding for when they are inevitably mixed together. Still, they are lovely and I want them...

I went all in on this during the campaign. It was not cheap so it's a breath of fresh air to get a good look at the set. Cheers and thank you. I'm super interested in the roll odds for each face and die.

Cool dice, but I agree that they should be colour-coded. They're too hard to read and tell apart from each other, at least for me. And yes, Trevor, they're called "mimics". I don't play D&D either, but they used to kick my butt in Dark Souls!

No hate on Awaken Realms for trying to shake things up in the dice space, it's cool, I do love myself a cool set of dice (even though I'm not even a "dice goblin" like some players). But, as much as I love the idea of the reaction dice especially if they were colour-coded (I'd 100% recommend painting them. I bet that asking the creators to paint them would punch up the price even higher). That said, I kind of hate the Koi & Cursed Dice. All it does is remove the lowest/highest number? It's just that not impressive. I honestly would have preferred if they were weighted/loaded dice, or hell, just went further with the renumbering. Like... removing the lowest 25% and repeating the top 25% of numbers (pseudo-logarithmically), and doing the inverse for the cursed dice. I guess they were trying to avoid unbalancing the game, but I think if I'm going to reward my players, telling them "you now cannot roll a 1" is kind of a lame reward, y'know? And if they're going to all this effort to make pretty dice for it, I'd kind of hope for more than something I could do with a marker pen - replacing the 1 for a 20, or vice versa.
