AWESOME Lee! I LOVE it. I see that you modded the rear wheelwells, I guess that the ones HW did weren't right. Also, do you know if the new Charger that's soon out (or is already out) is that casting that HW modded to remove the opening hood, or a brand new casting?

Yeah, the large rears just don't look right, but just switching to a smaller wheel didn't cut it. Also had to make some chassis modifications to get the stance correct, glad you liked how it turned out 👍😁

Not much detail on this in the video, but I did add a roll bar 👍 You should be able to see it when I'm moving the car around with my hand. The General Lee never had a full roll cage, usually just a bar behind the front seats.

I have spent quite some time searching for wheels online that would be similar enough. My problem is that all of the aftermarket wheels either are all very large rim and thinner tires (similar to what a rice grinder car would use and none of the rim types seem to have a similar look to the American Racing vectors). I do not have any donor cars with such wheels either. What would you suggest the best set of comparable wheels would be and where would you suggest to find said wheels? You Decal guy is spot on I have used his water slides for numerous projects including a MEGO General lee. (Just a shout out incase anyone else wondered)

There doesn't seem to be any wheels that match the American Racing Vectors. The ones I used are Real-Rider 10 Spokes which came off the Pop Culture Scooby Doo '67 Austin Mini Van.

I finally got one that’s really close it’s the brand new 2019 1969 charger that hotwheels made, not the one that’s actually a 67 charger. Anyways I added a rollcage and a pushbar etc, joe is yours so shiny though

I used 20 mil styrene for the side pieces and glued in 20 mil diameter piano wires for the bars. The flange in the bottom was made from an aluminum car, soda or beer 😉

You should be proud of your self because that looks awesome. ? Is you do know you can purchase the cars from Johnny Lighting. But I guess what is the fun in that . I have the original ones still in the box from I when I was a kid I have Boss Hoggs car two cop cars and the General Lee and Daisies Jeep . But you did a great job 👍

What did you use to fill the rear wheel openings?

I used milliput, but any epoxy putty should work. I made sure the putty was also overlapping and contacting the inside of the fenders to give it more strength. I backed it with blue painters tape which I removed after the putty set up.
