Use it man! Using a gift is an awesome feeling ... every time it's used. decades ago my 8 year old gave me a BBQ spatula that I have used just about every day since. It's a love thing. As long as Buck is in business, they can always rehab it ... even after you're gone. Beautiful knives. thanks for sharing.

I second that motion. I have a watch that was gifted to me and every time I put it on, I think of the giver and know they bought it for me to use it. and each time i look at the time ;) I do smile and am thankful. Put your 112 into your daily carry and you'll always be reminded that someone loved you greatly to gift such a beautiful tool to use.

Those are just 2 killer knives, the finger grooves do look good but i find on the 112 my hands are so big that i really don't utilize the grooves so the regular works just as good for me. I like both! Finger grooves and no finger groves. Ive never seen a 501 like that and I like it! Great exclusive. My 1st 110 custom i did finger grooves cause i didnt have one and it feels great! Though i do prefer the look of non. Think its only a $10 option. Thanks for sharing Tom!

Great video Tom. To carry or not to carry ... I just bought a Heritage lockback and at the same time bought an LB7 to carry. The LB7 turned out to be a NOS and I won't carry either now so am still going to buy another to carry. My advice would be to keep both of them as Safe Queens😅 Take care ✝️ 🙏

2 awesome knives. What I tend to do is buy another user and carry the gifted one a couple of times a year. Like the anniversary of retirement date would be the main day. If you know the day you started could be another.

Hey Tom, That 500 is one of the most beautiful knives that I've seen. I love the handles on it. If I were you I would put that one away and buy a new one to carry because it means to much to you. I don't like the finger grooves on my knives. I have larger hands and the grooves just don't fit me right even on the 110. Just so you know you can buy a 112 with finger grooves for $5 extra ($69.99) on the 112 and $10 for the 110 at the Buck web site or you can go thru the custom site and get all the extras that you want. Later
