Custom Jaguar Fastback! DNC8!

Its finally starting to take shape, this is my first custom car and im having fun with it. Ive got inspiration for this car from the Daytona Coupe, Datsun 240z, Jag XKE, Triumph Gt6. My goal is to turn this 4 Door XJ12 jag into a fun 2 door Date Night coupe powered by a 5.0 ford. (DNC8)

Let’s just say if it fails.. and it falls apart in my garage before i finish. Then I will have failed and I will be wrong. Is it fair to say if when I’m done and inspected and determined to be safe for the road.. does that make you wrong or just difference of opinion?

Looking good. The passenger side rear ofthe roof corner looks a little higher. Has more of a curve than drivers side. Very impressed how you did the roof. :)

Thanks! I’m thinking of adding a tube across the roof at that point, because the roof sheet is still very flexible and I’m thinking if I roll the tube I can make the roof fit better and match both sides.

It reminds me of the Dodge Arrow which was similar to B210 Datsun. The bolt pattern on the Jaguar for the wheels are 4 3/4 like Chevy (just a note) Looking good man!!! It’s maybe possible to use the trunks outer layer of metal to help shape the the roof and beyond.

Thanks for turning the camera out of direct flash of welder. Your editing getting good.. welldone. Luckily the roof layed down not too bad. Would have layed better with more relief cuts towards B pillar. And bigger relief cuts instead of a hammer. You can't hammer the metal in. No where for it to go. Just weld um up. This is Halfass kustoms way. Maybe passenger side is misshapen. Looks like it needs pulling down. Maybe roof needs chopping 1.5 inches. But I think I would extend front before getting to involved with finishing the back end. Maybe shape your window temporarily and mock in the sides you see your shape better. Good luck. Like the roof line looks good. Reconsider cutting the back of the car off maybe going a little to far - Car length is good.
