Despite how much I love this custom and admire the effort that went into it, I'd honestly prefer it without the cab/roof. You could get a more intimidating and skinny look with it, sort of like a Metal Gear REX.

Very cool project, it would be great to add some hydraulic rams and lines to the legs. The rams could be made out of styrene tubes and rods and the lines out of small gauge electrical wire. As always, impressed with your skills.

I think a good mad max build would be a make shift tank, like a old big muscle car with tracks and a turret or multiple cars together to make the body and use bigger tracks

It is a bit like the concept of a "nuts and bolts gonk" model (from nuts, bolts, washers, crocodile clips, etc.) although those are usually welded, even if they are about the same size as that BattleMech.
