Doesn’t need the non-matching, red seat or the red stem. They just draw more attention to what isn’t red on the bike. It would look great with just the pops of red from the frame and wheelset.
@joelzylstra29712 жыл бұрын
The slight colour differential of the wheels and saddle to the frame is triggering my OCD. That aside it’s a stunner for sure!
@chris2ao2 жыл бұрын
Point of information, may not look like it on camera but the wheel color red is a direct paint match using the BMC Pantone color ID. I think because of the black honeycombs between the decals it comes off as darker. Nothing I can do about the saddle, it got darker from ass sweat 😂

@@chris2ao yeah my neon yellow SMP is definitely not as rich of colour as it’s first day as well. It’s a thing and really not that big a deal. I’d rather a bike that works well and gets used over one which strokes my vanity.

That bike looks so boss!!! It's gorgeous!! Only issue is the weight. Kinda porky for a high end bike at 18lbs, especially in that frame size. My training bike is a 60cm 2015 CAAD10 is with Dura Ace 9000 shifters/derailleurs/brakes/pedals, Cannondale SiSL2 53/39 175mm crankset, a set of (not-so-light) SuperTeam 50mm carbon wheels with Ultegra 11-28 cassette, Fizik Arione CX Kium saddle, two plastic bottle cages, full Cannondale C1 alloy bars, stem, seatpost, and Garmin 1000 without front mount. Not lightest build, but it weighs 16.89 lbs. Sure, it's rim brake, but my SuperSix Evo HM is a disc brake bike and it's 16.15 lbs in a 60 cm with Dura Ace Di2 9150, SiSL2 crank and Hollowgram Si carbon wheels. I know the trend is to discredit weight, but it is still a relevant part of the equation.

Finally, a big guy with a light weight bike!
@quarkonium37952 жыл бұрын
In Florida it is way less relevant though
@terbennett2 жыл бұрын
@@elmerrichardson6413 It's easy to do with rim brakes. As disc brakes get better, they'll find a way to. Like Chris Froome said, it's just not there yet. I used to have a 58cm CAAD10 that weighed 16.08 lbs with a similar build to my 60cm, but it had Mavic Ksyrium Elite S wheels, Si Hollowgram crankset with FSA chainrings, Fizik Arione w/Manganese rails and a Garmin 500. Those wheels really made the difference Mavic Yksion Pro clinchers weighed 195 grams and their tubes were light too. They were 23c tires, but they felt supple plus they were awesome to race on. However, the tires would wear out quickly, so I switched to the Conti GP5000s. Anyway. I sold that one to buy my SuperSix Evo HM. I sure regret selling that one.

@galenkehler2 жыл бұрын
Agreed, looks like they ran out of development money after they made the water bottle holder 😉
@terbennett2 жыл бұрын
I agree too, but that's s what happens when you try to standardize 700c wheels to all frame sizes. That one is a 47cm, which really should be running 650c wheels, but the industry decided it's best to stick with 700c on smaller frames. Because of this, the geometries are changed a bit to support the larger wheel. Usually shorter riders have to accept the compromises that come with that decision, unless they go custom, which oftentimes cost the same as off the shelf.
