Awesome video. As a truck driver in the USA most of the trucks I’ve drove are Volvo’s made in the USA but they use the Volvo engine from Sweden. Volvo ships the block from Sweden but the rest of the engine parts are made in the USA. And the I-Shift transmission is awesome with the shifter mounted on the drivers right side of the seat I can steer with my left arm and operate the shifter in auto mode or manual mode which is vary important. Their are times I need to downshift the up shift at the vary right spot in the road so to optimize truck performance. One point in particular is the turn on I-5 north bound in tumwater Washington and Olympia Washington going around the state capital in that a series of turns I need to slow down and then at the right moment downshift as the road doglegs to the left and goes uphill if you don’t you loose momentum and speed but if done right you go up the hill at highway speeds, you can’t do that in any other truck. Also with the I-Shift transmission and traction control in snow and ice the truck is virtually unstoppable I know I’ve done it and I have pictures to prove it. I’m now retired but I maintain my CDL people call me and I ask if the have Volvo’s with I-Shifts transmissions if not I don’t talk with them. Also I love the 4 stage Jake brake on the Volvo motor. Another aspect of the I-Shift transmission is the truck will automatically downshift going at highway speeds down any grade, you can’t do that with any other truck, it will get you killed. The only thing I wish I had was that 750 hp motor in my rigs I would of blown the doors off every Peterbilt on the road it would’ve been great. Peterbilt drivers hate to get passed by Volvo’s it pisses them off big time😀😀😀😀

I know I'm a bit late. However you must confuse cylinder block with cylinder head, the heads are only made in Sweden and only one factory alone. I know this because I work at the engine plant, and specfically the CH13 Liter machining line and we are the only supplier of heads in the entire Volvo Trucks Group Global.

At 27:19 when talking about the windshield, the narrator said “this doesn’t always work flawlessly as we’ll soon see”. But nothing happens later. Does anyone think during the water test it leaked but Volvo made them cut it out so they didn’t look stupid. Also 30:27 the narrator said “back to our cab”. Yet suddenly its gone from a left hand drive to a right hand drive.
