It's so weird seeing Splodge without the other half. I rather continuously reffer to the characters at Splodge, because since I was little I could never keep straight who was who, reading was not a strong point for me. I still get them mixed up from time to time XD! The model looks great!

Splatter was planned to be in Mad bomber. his Ertl model was shown behind the scenes of ep2. his model was not far Bluebell on the table. Interestingly Dodge was not there. Only Splatter. In fact Splatter's Ertl model was the one Leo showed and demonstrated how he atached the H0 chassis on to the Ertls. So Splatter is somewhat cannon to mad bomber. :)

Very good custom! And here's my headcanon for Splatter and Dodge: Let's start with the movie, I don't really like it, so I changed the plot and different details of the film in my headcanon. But I'm too lazy to talk about it. So let's move on to the further story of the twins and Diesel 10. (in my headcanon, TATMR occurs in the 1970s). Diesel 10 is sent to the Mainland, but it will return to Sodor around the 1990s, but it will almost be killed and it will go back to the Mainland. Splatter would be purchased by NWR around the 1980s or 1990s(around this time Gordon retired). Dodge lived a peaceful life on the Mainland with other diesels from the Mainland.

Once you've done Dodge, you should do a third diesel, which is an amalgamation of both Splatter and Dodge and call it Splodge

My headcanon is that these two were D-10's goons like in the film BUT after his defeat; they struck out on their own and were allowed to stay and work on the island. They now live at the steelworks but after a fresh coat of paint; they felt they could reinvent themselves and affect more confident personas, thus they became Arry & Bert. Plus the rename gave them actual names rather than just random words.

Fantastic video. Great tips as always. I have a challenge for you and your wife. Get 2 of the same character and if they happen to have a twin like for example splatter and dodge then you both do one of them. See who can do better and put to a vote in the youtube community tab. Maybe make splatter and dodge in g scale using the bachmann range diesel or maybe the Lionel 0 gauge diesel. Just a thought for a good friendly future video. Only rules are you have the same amount of time to spend on each can share tools and brushes and have a budget of up to $30 to improve of make additions etc

Before season 6 Splatter and Dodge was supposed to appear in middle engine but was cut in favor of Arry and Bert who were intimidating in season 5 but now their just regular bullies.

A way easier way to make splatter and dodge is just to get a bachmann 08 and customize it from that since you can get it in dcc. Some of the bachmann class 08 don't have a ladder so that is helpful to those who don't like cutting currently doing a dodge and I'm gonna use either a splatter or dodge Trackmaster face for him.

I have a headcanon for Splatter and Dodge: They entered Sodor with Diesel 10. After the events in TATMR, they were bought by the railway. They were told to work at the Iron Works and they were repainted. Their names were changed to Arry(However you spell it) and Bert(similar to the Mid-Sodor-Railway characters' names changing when bought by the Skarloey Railway) they grew out their facial hair and they went back to their devious deeds. It has loopholes but it would be interesting. Lemme know what you think. Edit: I fixed my spelling on "would"
