Looking forward to this. Track cycling is fantastic as a live spectator - far more so than road racing I'd say. I still remember the first track meet I went to. It was Manchester just after the Beijing Olympics, so it was a bit of a homecoming celebration event. I recall a certain Lizzie Armitstead riding for 100% Me that night too.

Question: Pardon my ignorance as a novice road rider this is new to me and thank you GCN and Manon for sharing. The additional sensors and cameras would add extra weight. When one considers weight means everything wouldn't this be prohibitive, or because they are fitted to every bike it nullifies the issue.

Forgive my ignorance I havnt been a roadie in many years , but I wonder why are people still using the Look style cleats as they are so big compared to the mountain bike style spd cleats , they seem like they would be much more aero . Just a thought , I ride a recumbant trike and try for every aero advantage I can get , love the shoes I was particularly looking at the bottom because in my case that's the surface that the wind hits 1st , nice video and thanks for sharing 👍

yes the blue light bothered me too....even though I think Manon is brilliant as a rider and presenter I couldn't make it through the entire vid. I did notice the lighting around the track looked 'white' as the riders whizzed by. I doubt the editor can do much about that if the venues lighting is designed that way.

It's the venue lighting. They light up the racing surface with normal lights and use mood lighting everywhere else, including the infield.
