Custom Seats For My WRX (Kustom Interior)

One of my least favorite things about my 2022 WRX since I bought the car was the factory cloth seats. You'll hear me talk about why I don't like them in the video, but that doesn't matter because in today's video we are upgrading them with some custom fitted seat covers from Kustom Interior!

I'm gonna be honest, I was considering these seats before this video. After seeing how those back seats are popping out, I am no longer considering these. I think cheap covers from Amazon would actually do better, while being around $300 cheaper. The front seats look so good, but the rear is a deal breaker overall. Thankful for the review.

My biggest gripe about the stock seats isnt the material, it is the lack of adjustability. It is 2024, why are we not getting adjustable lumbar support... I can deal with the manual seats but the lack of adjustability is disgusting

I actually like the seats in my '22 Premium a lot. If they get worn out or fadded someday I might consider these covers. Is there a seem for the seat airbags to bust out of? I would hope so or otherwise they might not work properly when you need them.

Yeah there's a seem and zipper right where the factory one is for the airbag!

They do look way nicer then the stock for seat covers. To get rid of the air bubbles is there any velcro strips or something you could get to put on the inside to hold it down? Might be noticable sitting in it though. Anyways i think that makes the interior of your car look sharp. Nice find 👌

Karskinz replaces the fabric with whatever you decide on how to design your seat. Katskinz aren’t a cover and they’re surprising affordable.

Underneath the seats there's two little tabs you ull on thr left and right side and it pops right out

The fronts look great. Not to sure on the rear though. How is it with the windows down? Do they flap around a lot?

Actually with all 4 windows down they don't move or make any noise!

Is the wiring harness the same as the one that plugs into the limited seats? I have someone selling me the limited seats but not sure if its plug and play

If they're manual seats it should be the same, but if they're power seats they won't plug in.

HOW DID THESE END UP BREAKING IN ??? BECAUSE OF THE TYPE OF WORK I DO, ID LIKE TO GET SOME SEAT COVERS..IVE GOT A PREMIUM TOO AND I SOMETIMES WISH I WOULD HAVE DRIVEN THE EXTRA 100 MILES TO GET THE LIMITED LOL..ALSO ALWAYS BEEN A FAN OF THE CLEANLINESS OF LEATHER NOT TO MENTION THE SMELL. I HAVENT SEEN ANY OTHER OPTIONS BESIDES NON FITTED KINDS AND I DEFINITELY WANT IT LOOK AS OEM AS POSSIBLE..THE GT RECAROS SURE WOULD BE NICE BUT THEY SEEM HARD TO FIND AND THE SUBI TAX IS RIDICULOUS.

The subi tax is no joke on most things. These held up pretty good. They still always had a little but of slack in them but they fit 1000% better than any universal seat cover. I would totally recommend them as a long term solution to changing the look and keeping the stock seats nice. They are pricey tho.
