Fun fact: the MM Cutlass was designed in the 1970s when Leo Fender was at MM, so it's not a Strat knockoff, it is more like Leo's iteration on the Strat. Careful observers will note that the top of the pick guard matches the curve of the top of the pick guard on the Telecaster, another Leo detail.

The Sterling Cutlass is like a $900 guitar for only $550 (mine was used for like $400 or so) - locking tuners, snap in/snap out tremolo bar, baked maple neck, etc. I love my SSS Sterling Cutlass. I would love to try the Triptychs too!

Love my Cutlass. It's a Sterling with HSS pickups. I've upgraded all the electronics and added coilsplitting for the humbucker. With the treble bleed curcuit it's just soo versatile. I tend to grab it first for almost everything. The new Sterling Cutlass CT50 plus has got my interest also. Thinking of dropping a David Gilmour active pickup set in an SSS version if they come out with some better colors soon.

Ernie ball is awesome, I honestly like the iconic metal brands or rather the guys who support them. It’s just like that’s the one! This player plays it I need to have one! I like them, but I got a sterling, and it eats all my other guitars. It’s just crazy, that neck has been so comfy, the other guitar that has to my like is an old prs but it was a sig model and forget the name. Wish they still made those… But the guitar I have from sterling is miles better more from a comfortable and sounding playing sounding guitar, these guys have it in check.

Is that 58 neck a chunky feel? Like the look of the neck joint very smooth, assume the trem is flat on the body. Nothing like the twang of new strings. Wonder if there would be any change to the tone with a metal scratch plate that you use on the strat. Looks like you dialed down the bass side of the pick-ups. Does sounds the dogs appendages.

Does it feel weird playing an S style guitar without a trem? Your sig single coils sound great, btw. Really well balanced and musical. But then again, it's Bare Knuckle. They are just the best. And seeing you play Ernie Ball guitars has really peaked my interest into their lineup. They make some incredible stuff. Also, I have a blacked out pair of Silos waiting to go into a baritone I'm putting together. Warmoth wenge neck with ebony fretboard and a Warmoth mahogany body that I'm waiting on to get here from being painted in a nitro Lake Placid blue. Congrats on your success. You've earned it!
@lockedowng Жыл бұрын
It has a pop in trem arm. While the EBMM bridge can be floating, its usually down only. I have broken a string on my HSS Cutlass and it hasn't gone out because the bridge rests on the body by design. With the locking tuners, you can bring the down like a floyd so the strings hang off the body. Somehow, it stays in tune.

Incredible. Question for you: I’m assuming that in the shots where the Kraken is in the background you are using the Kraken, so, how are you getting those cleanish-low gain tones? I ask because I have the kraken v4 preamp, and to be honest I’ve never liked the low gain/almost clean tones I’ve gotten from it. That said, I’ve got to assume that there are some differences in the gain structure between the actual amplifier and the preamp pedal, i.e. the v4 pedal is not just the preamp section of the amp shoved into a pedal.
@BDMusic2021 Жыл бұрын
@richardharrold9736 you know, that one’s pretty obvious, I just never think to do it because I get a little too stuck on precision and rolling a volume knob back isn’t very precise lol, so I wouldn’t’ve even thought of that.

Maybe it’s because I’m old but I want a hardshell case with all of my guitars and if a flight case is an option I’ll take that. I’ll take as sturdy a case as I can get besides, it’s a guitar, even flight cases for a Les Paul aren’t actually heavy so carrying two into a gig is more than reasonable for 99% of the population.
