I had a similar accident on an ATV in '00 that totally ruined my life as I broke my neck in 3 places, ALL ribs on right side, right wrist, seperated right shoulder AND of course head trauma. Forever changed my life so these folks are extremely lucky and hopefully others take caution and PLEASE wear a helmet for Christ sake!

There isn't a "right way", there is only recovered or not recovered, and trying not to damage it any more than it already is. But if its totaled already that doesn't matter. Go upload yourself doing some of these and get back to me.

@@3xceIIent Yeppers. I've lived about 600 feet ASL almost my entire life, and once I get higher than say, 7,000 feet, I can honestly say there ain't no air up there, lol. Hiking around Arches/Canyonlands is always a slow walk... I drove to the top of Pike's Peak, got out of the car, and had to sit back down until I got used to the fact that I was oxygen deprived...

@@Backroad_Junkie Yes Grew in Colorado. used to run around literally, in the Rockies, XC Skiing, hunted, climbed a few cliffs.... been in Kansas, then Missouri at 1000 feet dunce 1997. heart attack and two strokes... was guns go to Crestone Energy Fair in Sept 2020. Got to Lamar and had to stay in a motel all by myself for two days... Knew I'd die ifns I went to 9,000 feet.

A trick that I've done with a bad bead at least on a lawn tractor is get a tie down strap, run it over the middle of the tread. Cinch it down and it puts pressure along the bead. Making it easier to get it to catch for airing up. Just a thought.

Demolition derby trailer. I have had great luck with getting tires back on wheels and beads using a ratcheting tie down strap wrapped around the circumference of a tire and ratchet it in will push the bead out and down to the rim and make it easier. Or whack it with a wrench or hammer and as you said shock it. Keep up the great and entertaining work. And congratulations on the money your team has raised for the all abilities park. Great to see all of your fundraising and support you do for so many causes. Be safe,take care and keep having fun in what you are doing to help people that have gotten their vehicles in a jam. Also can't wait to see the wrecker in action.

Never wheel alone? Most of my wheeling has been alone. I can't get anyone to go with me. If I waited for someone to go with me I'd never go. Been stuck only twice in 25 years and got myself out both times using my shovel and high lift. I have a winch but had nothing to winch to both those times. Excellent video.

If that guy hadn't hit that tree, he most likely would have been busted up a lot worse and been unable to get out alive. But like you say, it's sometimes tough to get another person to go with you so you take your chances and hope for the best.

@@brians48now Been taking calculated risks all my life. I'm a skydiver and a hang glider pilot. Highly trained in both sports. I wheeled with a club when I first got this truck and those people were much bigger risk takers than I ever thought of being. Life is dangerous. You're not going to get out of it alive. And no it's NOT a really bad idea. I love what I do and wish I gould get more people to tag along but they just aren't out there.

Hey Matt, hi all, I've been 4-wheeling since the 70's. One greatly useful tool was mounting a second hitch-receiver up front (they are available for many vehicles). It allows, when needed to drive trailers into very tight spaces easily --and with it our it front, you can see everything. And it's also become my method-of-choice for trailer boat launching. Maybe consider a hitch on the front of your rig to navigate those tight spots by pushing the trailer around. Works like a charm to launch boats in tight spots! Keep up the great work guys!

To help seat a tire , take a ratchet strap around the circumference of tire. It tends to squish the bead out so it can seat easier. Worked for me a few times.

Matt Here's a trick i learned a while ago that helps you get the tyre to seat on the rim when its flat. Grab a 2 inch ratchet tie down and wrap it around the outside of the tyre as tight as you can. Then move the tyre back and forth to help seat it. it should help while trying to inflate. Lizzie looks so cute when she's snoring away in the back seat. LOL Another awesome video Matt and fam and friends.

Hey maybe think about making a small tire blaster out of a air tank like I did years ago now for semi truck and mudding tires. Sets the head in seconds and no more dangerous flammables. Can sometimes also wrap a tie down straps around the center of the tread and tighten it while applying air and it will help set the bead most times.
