I still remember this one I encountered ,had a customer bring in 2003 Buick Rendezvous and there was a grinding noise. Customer's cousin said it was a bad rear wheel bearing and was not. Found out this cousin of theirs did replace the rear brake pads making a mistake. Installed the brake pads in incorrectly with the material side towards the caliper and the backing plate towards the rotor redoing the brake job

The point was that we weren't cleaning the car out to fix it!
