Similar has happened on my little mini! I hit the curb (swerved left to avoid hitting a dog), tyre popped, scraped alloy a bit, and wheel is pushed backwards a little, rather than inwards. Not as much as one looks though! Going to be inspecting mine tomorrow. Hopfully its not bent like this one...

I got into an accident and a wheel got pushed in like the car in this video. After the auto collision shop fixed the car and replaced all the suspension parts needed the wheel that got hit seems to have more of a camberlook to it then the other wheel. Any thoughts?

If you have more camber, you may need camber bolts to adjust it out usually after an accident like this if it’s really bad, it may not be 100% afterwards

Surprisingly, this was only a bent strut. The owner got very lucky.

Question so my car got in an accident I got fixed through insurance it’s not stock it’s highly modified it’s lowered but after I got it back the driver side rim and tire is sticking out more then the passenger side I went back and told them they said we checked nothing is wrong I don’t believe them what would you say is the problem it’s not at an angle it’s just sticking out instead of pushed in maybe I can see the problem and go back to them have them fix it

@@TheEnthusiastMechanic so went to another shop paid $200 they say the same things is there something that can cause it to stick out more on the driver side I have expensive tires on it and because my driver front rim is sticking out more my fender is eating the outer tire cupping it I believe it’s called

@@AliVapeReviews if everything was done correctly, it shouldn’t stick out, so I believe the shops that you’re taking it to or not thoroughly inspecting it unfortunately

I replaced my struts after my daughter hit a curb and now the sway bar link hits the strut on that side when turning right. Does that mean I need to replace knuckle and control arm?

It’s hard to just say, but you may have a fence suspension parts somewhere could possibly be the knuckle if that’s where the link ties into

@TheEnthusiastMechanic i wondered if it pushed the lower control arm in some cant see any bend on it but wonder if the studs got bent and pushed the tire in more forcing the new strut closer to the sway bar link this is an 09 toyota sienna

The best way is to put it on an alignment rack and see where your numbers are at so you can figure out where the bend is

This car just needed a strut. There wasn’t any other damage depending on how hard your car might have been hit would very on price. This one cost around 500 bucks I believe.

@@ssodell0 it was like 4 something. I ended up having to replace the control arm, knuckle, and strut. The total came to 980$. I then had to replace my rack and pinion bc the steering issue wasn’t fixed and the wheel still stuck to wherever I would turn it to. Idiots didn’t even test drive it. The rack and pinion was $1,400 for a “reman” even though I asked for a new one. They didn’t charge me labor bc of how much bs I had already replaced and them lying saying it was fixed after the first $900 when it wasn’t. This was also just one of the front struts not two which I would recommend you do

I have the same problem on my 2004 Honda odyssey maybe the wheel is a bit more bent inwards then the one in the video hopefully it just needs the struts as well i wonder wat other parts usually get damaged when the wheel gets bent inwards like that it also wouldn’t move but it does accelerate but doesn’t move at all and makes like a clunking noise

Forgot to mention that the vehicle wouldn’t move at all wen accelerating its front wheel drive I’m guessing it didn’t move cuz the front wheel on the passenger side was bent in pretty good
