Customizing OEM Shift Knob On My WRX

I did mine a few months ago and I love it. Went through about 4 shift knobs but this is still the best, in my opinion.

Nice. I tried to do same thing a few months ago but I couldnt manage to remove the top shift pattern part. I used hair dryer maybe it wasnt hot enough. It started cracking as a pushed so I left it and spray painted over it.

Just a heads up, I just did my 2020 and Subaru must've gotten wise to this. The area under the clear top is solid underneath. HOWEVER!!! If you carefully drill a small hole just almost through it, you can heat it up and use a nail etc to push it out and proceed. I recommend drilling just away from the 5th gear mark.

Not sure what you mean? This one was also on a 2020 and I have a shift knob from my 2022 and it's the same way as this one.

Hey man, just an FYI you can guy the sti shift knob off aliexpress for 7-12 dollars and you cant tell the difference. incase you want more color options

According to subaru, the red STI shift knob won't even fit a wrx 🤔

Not sure why they say that I've had it before and it threads right on. Sti and wrx have the same shift knob thread pitch and length
