Holy crap girl - you should make a book. This video is so dense with information. I am wanting to watch it at least a couple more times and take notes. Seriously consider writing a book on this exact topic as I am sure many other home gardeners also desire having a garden that will provide cut flowers and also be something they would like to be outside to enjoy as well. Seriously. Your brain has so much knowledge in this area.

This is brilliant! I don’t grow flowers to sell, but have struggled with cutting for the house while maintaining the garden look outside for me and my neighbors. SO helpful! One of the best videos I’ve ever seen. This will be watched multiple times! And I’m a 40 year gardener, still learning. Thank you!

Was watching your video on my TV but had to jump on my computer to leave this comment--Thank you for putting this content together and posting it now! You knew exactly what I needed right as I’m getting overwhelmed with seeds and planning. So appreciative for all that I have learned from you. I’m also very glad you share your evolution in thinking and planning. Things that work or don’t. Helps me to not give up. I will never sell flowers but want a cut flower garden for friends & family. Plus I need a planned landscape. Can’t say enough here how much I enjoyed/value this video. If I saw you I’d hug you right now!😊

I've been growing my cut flowers in a landscape style for years and years. As years have gone by, I've had to switch locations up a bit, as trees mature, but that is part of the fun! That is what drew me to your channel to begin with. Your fabulous integration all your blooms into your yard/landscape.

Brilliant! Invaluable advice for any kind of flower grower! Thanks Danielle. Lots to think on here for beginners as well as old hands! I have some of my own reviewing to do I now see. Love the idea of perennials in the center of the border & annuals in the front for ease of cutting. And choice of flowers based on seasonal bouquets is fabulous! AND the crossed staking!!! ☺

This was amazing. I will rewatch many times. I hope you go further with this type of educational content. I would love to hear concepts on highlighting vistas or deciding where to place an entrance. Also, how do you decide how many of each to grow? Sometimes we think 100 will be great and it’s too little or suddenly there is no room. Thank you again! This got me excited. 🌺 💐 🌸

Thank you so much this was wonderful! I started growing my own florals in my landscape at the beginning of the pandemic. As a floral designer I watched as our access to flowers dwindled. I immediately started ordering seeds and tubers etc. and like you said it was difficult to see my gardens become rows for cutting. Yet I knew people would need flowers. Now in 2023 as I sit here planning I am trying to make the return back to my pretty gardens while still being able to cut from them. This video was so helpful . I I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to make this extremely helpful class.

Oh my word! Where do I begin?! You have provided so much valuable and timely information in this video, Danielle. I think you should seriously consider writing a book. With your easy style, vast knowledge and lovely garden as an example, I’m sure it would be a hit. I have been dreaming for years of transforming some of my front yard into more garden space and just didn’t have a clue where to start. I just knew I wanted more color and texture. I’m retired now and have the time but not as much energy or strength as I used to so your advise to put evergreens and shrubs in place first makes so much sense; those can add the color and texture I’m looking for practically as soon as they are planted. Case in point: all your lovely hydrangeas! Thank you for all the invaluable information you share. 💚

Danielle, the effort that you put into this video is nothing short of impressive. I can see how you thought this out and how you tried to think about how you could use your mistakes in the past to help others. Your examples were clear and there was so much insight -things people would not have thought of… I’m not growing a cut flower garden but I’m just so interested in all of your ideas and how your concepts come together… I always enjoy these videos and this was a true master class… I wish you would consider starting a Patreon because I think you would have a lot of people supporting you… I know that may not be the route you want to go and you have other sources of income I’m sure but you really do teach a lot… And that’s worth a lot to a lot of people. Just something to consider. I can’t tell you how much I’ve been inspired by your gardens and how many different things I have tried because of you suggesting to try them… And my favorite Dahlia of all which is diva came from your videos and suggestion. I really look forward to your videos and learning new things along the way… The whole Cool flowers thing was super awesome and I have some Larkspur and Nigella out there right now that are overwintering as baby plants. It’s my first time trying the cool flowers but I got the book you suggested and I’m so excited to see them get a jumpstart in the spring. I’m also in love with Dara because of you and I never would’ve thought about that as something to grow. I could go on forever here but my point is that you have the heart of a teacher… And I want to tell you how much I appreciate it. ♥️

Thank you, Danielle. This is such a great video. Very informative and and so well thought out in terms the practical application of the steps. This is definitely something that I have wanted to implement, but really didn’t know how to go about it. I’ve only been gardening for about 4 to 5 years, but I am in a new space this season so I am excited to create a beautiful landscape with the option for a cut flower bouquets on a regular basis. I am not a cut flower seller, but if I can produce enough for multiple bouquets, it would give me so much joy to be able to give those away to friends and neighbors.

I am SO inspired! I am living in a similar climate, 6A (eastern panhandle WV) and I am now in my 3rd year, second growing season on a 3 acre property. So much potential, and also so much work and patience required. Between overhauling a decades long neglected landscape, to trial and error with plant placement. I really love all of your videos for ideas of what to plant but most of all, how to grow gorgeous bouquets for market in a landscape. How genius! Thank you so much for sharing your process.
