I agree! Public speaking can be intimating to most. My opinion, Laura can joke, laugh and admit failures, cheer on successes in public eye.. will always have a successful following. Aaron does a wonderful job participating in videos, editing and I think they being humble, with a great family structure makes them a super success.

I hated gardening. We bought a house 3 years ago and the previous owner left us a 1/4 acre garden and we hired a gardener so I was never really hands on on anything. We have apple trees, grapes, a rose garden and hydrangeas. Up until this summer I had zero clue on how to take care of them. We let go of our gardener due to the pandemic (to save money), and I started searching how to take care of plants and flowers on youtube and stumbled upon your videos. I now think I have a gardening addiction. My garage is filled with Biotone and all kinds of tone. I planted my first planter this summer and will be planing bulbs for the first time this fall!

A little over a year ago I found your channel and have grown from someone who said they hated gardening and any yard work, avoided working on the landscape of the home we bought 5 years ago, to someone who loves gardening and is proud to say that is my #1 hobby. Watching your videos and learning from you is my favorite thing to do when I come home from work each day and my inspirational start to my Saturdays before I head to my favorite garden center (Lurvey which you did an ad for!!) and then spend time improving my yard - it’s not “work” anymore. Wow, seeing the before and after at your old townhouse is shocking. I had no idea that you started with such a bare slate. When you filmed the tour when you were moving out the garden felt so mature, like it had been there for decades. You added so many good "bones" to the space... and the yard looked larger too. What a treasure you left for the next owners to have such an oasis at their new home.

I LOVE what you said about creating an oasis at home, so you don't feel like you have to find it elsewhere necessarily. We do love to travel, but this year of course was very different. So I started putting a lot of effort into making our yard a place to enjoy. My husband is impressed by how much better it looks, too. Your videos have been such a source of inspiration, thank you!

A positive and encouraging bright spot in my days!! I have learned so much. My husband and I have both just retired. We live on the other side of Oregon in the Willamette Valley. My grandparents bought this 1912 Farmhouse and 28acres in 1955. My family moved here in 1958. My husband and I bought the house an13.5 acres of property in '86. My parents built anew house. Our youngest daughter and her husband just bought their house because We turned an existing building into a house for my 90 year old parents to live in. A lot land was torn up. New septic system, drainfield etc. I call it a whole new landscaping opportunity. It helps so much to see which plants I love!! I'm loving all of the purple this year!! 💜 Continued blessings for you and your lovely family.

Inspiration in buckets! I have been keeping a little log of all of the flowers that have impressed me and I went to add one this morning and accidentally erased all of my previous notes. I also love being staying at home, don’t get me wrong, LOVE to travel, however, this year’s traveling was indeed difficult, yet I know we’ll have plenty of opportunities in the near future. Still have a long way of making my own oasis, although I have my dreams and planning as I jot them down in paper. I have been following your channel since the time you were planting up containers at your townhouse front door and watched every single video since. I am late watching this video and I am sad I didn’t watch when it came out, but unexpected kitchen renovations have taken over my life after a busted pipe. This made me smile after a long two weeks. I have never seen a more put together video about gardening. Wow. Thank you so much, Laura. Yes indeed I took away many things from your 'presentation.' This was a wonderful timeline of your garden journey in this new property. And I've been following since you moved in. Your transformation explanations were very precise. The editing also made it so easy to identify all your spots and plants. I agree with you that I'm also a homebody and enjoy making my house a home. QUESTION? Could you please take us on a re-visit of your family friend's home that you showed us their Christmas decorations? Would have loved to see their spring/summer garden and internal decorations. Girl you’ve inspired me like crazy. Ever since I found your channel I’ve been planting like crazy 😜 I’m spending all my money on my garden but that’s ok right? Money well spent!
