Yep, the painting the guy as a villain because he works hard. Meanwhile they don't give you enough context as to what type of job she has. So, you're left with trying to force yourself into into feeling empathy for her character even when she may have no authority to speak on anyone's work ethic. At least tell me she has a job as X with X hours, but she chooses to tell them to stuff as she wants a life. Then I can relate vs just seeing her as yet another lazily written female love interest.

It really worked with Kirk as he basically gave up his acting career entirely and used his fame to push religious videos and appear regularly on evangelical Christian TV channels. Does that also mean that Prince Santa is a serial monogamous? What does he do with the former wives? I see a sequel (or perhaps prequel) made for these films over on say A&E or Crime Channel where it shows Prince Santa as a serial killer of his wives, and his elves are his conspirators. Lacy Chebert? Yup. She was also in that terrible Christian Mingle movie. Apparently, she's that "used to be famous, but is now extremely Christian" actress this sketch made fun of now.

There was a Hallmark movie about a magic snowglobe that would grant any wish you asked of it. Presumably, if anyone asked for anything particularly horrifying, it didn't happen around Christmas.

My favorite thing about this is that there's already a Christmas movie where a girl gets stuck in a snow globe, aptly named "Snowglobe". Except it was ABC Family instead of Hallmark, and the lead was black.

Black lead with a backstory is 1000 years too soon for Hallmark xD Everything has to be as generic as possible.

I never have understood "cut of time" sketches. After 40 years, you would think the show organizers would know that the show is always 90 minutes, and plan accordingly.
@Ethan-dn1wc7 жыл бұрын
Curt Randall I assume it's in case they decide to pull a skit at the last minute.
@kstreet4 жыл бұрын
It's not from poor planning. They test out a spare sketch or two that they're on the fence about during the dress rehearsals (in front of an audience too) a few hours before, and decide between dress and live show the bits they want to tweak or just ditch based on whether they flopped with the audience, the sketch isn't paying off with that specific host or maybe it's too technically challenging to risk screwing up on live TV. It's smart to have a backup sketch and means they can also offer some online-only content that get millions of views on YT.

Brooklyn exactly lmao. Tbh the only good thing they have is that you can truly watch them with your family and kids without fearing that a sex scene or crazy violence will show up and then embarrass you. I only watch so I will truly feel that it’s Christmas, they’re the few kinds of movies that I can watch with my grandmother and young niece, and it’s sometimes great to take a break from the psycho, dramatic, sex obsessed plots, even if the story is too predictable.
