Interesting! Thanks for this demo because I have not bid on some 45s due to the small hole. With the separators and knives on the RCA large spindle players, that hole has to be very smooth. I have a dozen now that must have the center hole smoothed out. I use emery boards! The first one I did looks like a true HACK job! However, the record drops without hanging up. Those separators and knives are finicky as far as these center holes. Neat demo! Thanks!

I use to buy European 45 rpm records when I had my old jukebox, and I had a lot of small hole records. I use to use a small tooth hole saw to cut out the hole. It worked great and took a few seconds.

Third Man Records should provide this service if you plan on cutting a 45 RPM record. If you want to record it on 33/ 1/3, then you don't need to "modify" them.
