I spent 3.5 hours cutting cardboard trying to kill normal bd1 and I still shaved an arm hair off when I was done 😅. And that was just normal bd1 manix 2 lw. I was wore out and the blade was still sharp

I didn't care for my cpm-spy27 lightweight much when I first got it. It has broken in so well and is so ergonomic, it has become my favorite edc. Holds an edge forever and strops right back in no time.

Great video Rybo! The reason your Spydie Flick opening method doesn't feel as fidgetity as you expected is because the fidget magic with this knife comes from working the ball lock in the reverse of what you demonstrated on closing, YMMV. I also hate the pinned construction of this knife but I am glad you sent it back to me! -- Your Buddy Russ.

Hi Rybo! I had a manix 2 lightweight in Bd1 steel! It was a great Knife and strong as hell for plastic handles! Thanks for sharing and Greetings from Austria

This year Manix 2 LW gets screws!

Hay that would be great. Is this confirmed or or rumour? On the fence of buying a second with S110V as mine is SPY27 and I would love to be able to disassemble it.

Picked up a Manix 2 Ltw last week, and I've been pleasantly impressed with it. I have the pivot screw model.

fantastic knife if you like to carry larger blades
@doejon94243 жыл бұрын
The newer ones are a solid win with the adjustable pivot screw. The older ones had the blade permanently riveted through the handle which was awful.

I have two issues with the Manix 2 LW. I like to be able to take a knife apart and the price.

Yeah. Don't knives need to be cleaned and lubed every now and then to keep them flicking nice? Would this knife get stiff after a couple years?
@Sam-ql4umАй бұрын

I have 3 of the G10 in various steels, and 1 lw in rex45. My Cruwear one I had Outpost76 do his skinny mod on it, with terotuff scales, and as much as I liked them already, I like that one even more. I also have one in 52100 and one in M390, both still in their stock configuration, and I'm tempted to have them skinny modded too, and I've come to like the Terotuff even better than micarta.

BD1N is sweet You have to use it alot and resharpen ir alot for its performance to increase. It is a unique steel, and improves with use.

I wish spyderco would make a lightweight pm2 they made a freaking lightweight tenacious for heavens sake. Until they do this knife will continue to be in my carry rotation.
@jordy703 Жыл бұрын
Would you prefer the lightweight or the G10 version?
@RybosWorkbench Жыл бұрын
I prefer the lightweight. G10 is nice, but it tears up my pockets and is heavier.

The exposed spring is concerning to me. Is that an issue at all?
@wills.8662 Жыл бұрын
I don't think so it's a strong spring. Unless you're going to be in muddy or sandy conditions I wouldn't worry much

I have a manix lightwealth great knive but the spring from the factory is way to strong and you have to go and cut the pin out to take it apart. I called Spyderco and they would not sell my the screw to put together. Very disappointing of a really nice knife takes away from the spring needs to be backed off some really hard clothes
