I've watched many animal cutout videos, and this was the best by far. I finally have my cat cutout and it looks like the original unlike when I followed other videos. Thx so much - following you now :)

Love this tutorial Jesús. Have been doing cat photo manipulations and these tips have come in handy. I'm grateful that you pointed out the best brush to use, the Dune Grass brush, which I think will save me hours of work. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.

As always an outstanding tutorial and a great channel to learn Photoshop in depth. Two days ago, I have been confronted with a similar situation, but separating the subject in order to use it in 3×2 m roll up. When the subject will appear in a such a big size, or even bigger on a street billboard or building mesh, any small imperfection shows up! So, this sort of techniques building hair are more than useful. Again, wonderful totorial and a big thank you for you Jesus for sharing it!❤

This is wonderful. We lost our cat to cancer, quite unexpectedly. (He actually looked a lot like this cat.) All of our pictures had busy backgrounds, and we really wanted a picture of just him. Thank you so much!

Great video Jesus. You are an awesome instructor. BTW, I mask a lot of landscape photos and use your technique with the Min/Max filters to remove the masking fringes. Works great on most photos, especially ones with trees with leaves protruding into the sky.

I use your videos often to solve issues i am having and to improve my skills. One comment, ! realize that this video was posted about 18 months ago but unless you are sponsored by Wacom, don't call it a "Wacom tablet". if you are then say so. There are many tablets out there and you can state that you use a "Wacom tablet" and yes, it is a superior tablet but there are other suitable tablets. For example, Huion makes several comparable models that are very good, but less expensive Thanks

Well this would not be my choice of approach. You get away with it cause the BG is dark blue. And later you are painting fur over it, *why not start with painting over it in the beginning* . What if the BG was pink or a bright orange ?? The way I (would) do it, is, Have a hair brush (make it yourself with some smal dots, next to each other with a small size differents), if you don't know how to make one, you can find them if you search on PS hair brushes Sample the color on the fur next to the area you want to paint and paint the fur at the edge, sample the color again en paint again and move on (like you did with the whiskers ) of-course with a Wacom pad or alike with pen pressure and all the other setting dialed in . I would even fiddle about with the blend modes whilst painting. When I saw that BLUE BG coming through, when you were painting on that mask, I though OH NO NO NO hehehehehe. Thanks for sharing again ! Love your tuts.

Very goooood i was wanting this trick,i have a trick about the shadow as you did in the previous videos i hope you hear me please try it,once you have your subject that you want to make a shadow for it duplicate it and put it under the original subject then lock transparency and fill it to black then transform it how you want it to be on the ground then move it out of the framework not disable seen it just with the move tool move it out of your sight where it should be in the gray range of the framework then double click on it and choose shadow and you will see the shadow is far try to find it and here you go you have a shadow with opacity and spread, size :)

I think for the background fill color you should have done something really different from the original background like bright red so you can easily see the effects of the mask.
