You can change the blend mode to hard mix while filling in with white so you don’t have to worry about going over the edge and be precise while painting. It’s amazing!!!

From 09:24 to 09:32 the brush mode is set to Normal (brush setup, sample hair, paint). Then, 09:33, you have your interlude/tip (Ctrl+Alt/Opt+G) where the Brush mode has already changed to lighten. On return, 09:43, the brush mode is still set to Lighten when you are actually retouching the pink out of the hair. With brush mode Normal the hair becomes too dark. Took me a while to spot this one.

Don't forget, if you change the background color, and you had ambient light, add this light. If your background is blue, the "color cast" is blue. :3
