I really like this one! wish there were more options for the satin blade though

My favorite blade shape, angling up like the Osborne 940, makes more cut angles easier. That clip is weird and it is a little heavy, but for the price, I really love it.

Such a great great blade shape!

This knife deserves some better steel. I’m gonna wait and see if it happens 🤞
@The335plyr10 ай бұрын
I would bet money it would perform way better after just one sharpening by hand. Factory edge didn’t seem too good.
@d.klingie8310 ай бұрын
Oh I have no doubt about that. I would just rather have 14c28n. Just my preference

Their WE version has CPM 20CV or Damasteel. Unfortunately nothing between this $80 version and those $300+ right now. I think it will be really popular and they may make something cheaper from WE, but Civivi, this is kind of the best steels they sell...

Nitro-v can be a really amazing steel if it had a custom heat treatment, but on a budget knife it's a budget steel.

Just got mine earlier today thinking about sending it back. pivot keeps coming loose but Cuts like a champ

Did you try locktiting in the pivot?

Damn Doody that thing actually surprised me! I like the idea of dying the scales would make for a cool video!

I think I’ll do that!

Good news about the Kizer Ti clips, too bad that they are constantly sold out of them! I might have an extra one around here somewhere…
@doodysdaggers10 ай бұрын
They had some a few days ago when I checked! But yeah they do sell fast

Just FYI, the CJRB/Artisan Cutlery Ti clips fit the Vision FG despite the inset clip placement. May have to play with the different screws to make it work. In my experience Civivi's Nitro V has poor edge retention and runs soft, my Baby Banter especially loses its edge quickly and doesn't sharpen well to a bitey edge, stays just shy of "really sharp".

Good video
@doktorb3at10 ай бұрын
If you strop at a more acute angle, your sharpness will improve. You seem to be stropping at a larger angle than the edge angle thereby decreasing it's ability to cut.
@dayannahkali10 ай бұрын
Tipically, the upward angled edge takes away some force you put in the handle. Not a problem for most things but woodwork and similar.
@chrisdyck65243 ай бұрын
I simply screwed the clip from the Böker Magnum blue Jay onto the Civivi Vision fg. Visually, in terms of feel and in everyday life, it fits perfectly. It looks great on the all black version. As if that was the right clip 😅🤷♂️👍

The edge died fairly quickly. Your review wasn’t that long and you didn’t cut much for it to be so dull. I’m not sold on it.
@doodysdaggers10 ай бұрын
Yeah I’m gonna put a new edge on it and try again. It could be that the factory edge is burnt. We’ll see, I’ll keep everyone posted

@@doodysdaggersany update on this?

@@cody3078 yeah I ended up selling the knife. Just didn’t hold an edge like I wanted and didn’t love the overall design
@cody30787 ай бұрын
@@doodysdaggersyeah it was disappointing how much it lost its edge throughout a short test. What’s your favorite blade steel for holding a wicked sharp edge? My budget is probably $100-$150
@doodysdaggers7 ай бұрын
@@cody3078 if you want to be sure you’re getting the best steel possible, always go Spyderco. Right now you can get a Delica wharncliff in k390 for less than $100. Absolutely insane edge retention on a fantastic knife.

This is not a knife this is a toy with you can play all the time all day can't stopping! I didn't like this lock of this Civivi Vision FG, they copy the lock of Demko and Cold Steel.

I like that blade shape, it's like the spyderco chef and the liong mah kuf v3. If WE does a revised version of this knife I'll probably try one.
@doodysdaggers10 ай бұрын
I had been thinking the same thing. I want this knife just like it is now but better blade steel and titanium
