And I don't understand why people think becoming polyamorous would be a solution for cheaters. Usually people don't cheat because they want to sleep with more people at the same time, they do it because they have some problem within their relationship and they don't have the courage, or the tools, to address that directly. Cheating is the symptom, not the illness. Cheating means breaking an implicit pact of mutual trust and respect. And that is something people can do in every kind of relationship, even poly ones.

Everyone handles trauma differently and most people - will think it’s about them if their partner cheated (even if it obviously isn’t)
@SuperMustache5552 жыл бұрын
@@barbarella.artist I think you’re right, the first reaction is to question why you (the person that got cheated on) is inadequate for your partner, but over time, you can realize that the other person has faults. Learning that you’ve been cheated on still makes you question why you weren’t good enough, but gives you a reason to doubt the judgement of your partner. There have been plenty of times that I've gotten a feeling that made me icky, and decided "nope, need to leave the situation because they're getting the wrong idea". You have full autonomy over your choices. This is absolutely NOT including SA, which is no one's fault and should be taken extremely seriously, but if you cheated just because you were drunk and thought it was worth it? "Sparing their feelings" by not confessing is most often mainly about sparing their own feelings & not having to go through seeing the damage they caused to unfold. Avoiding the guilt, the shame, the consequences, the tainted public image, all that. Let's not pretend it's some selfless, "caring" act just because it delays the pain. The truth comes out sooner or later anyways. And keeping it a secret robs your partner of the ability to make an informed decision about their future. What kind of partner they have. Risking their health (STD-risk!). Wasting their time. Creating even bigger trust issues - just imagine them finding out one day & looking back on all the years they didn't have a clue & felt happy & trusting while their partner disrespected them left & right by cheating behind their back.

@dataexpunged69692 жыл бұрын
I kind of disagree with her saying that you shouldn't tell someone that you've cheated on them (I do see where she's coming from though), because of a few things - 1) If they find out by someone else or later on, they'll feel much more betrayed and hurt as opposed to being told directly. 2) If they had doubts and suspicions about their partner cheating, but the partner never admits to it, it'll be low-key gaslighting and the person will not be able to trust their instinct again. 3) This ties into point 2, but if the partner never admits, the person will never learn what the signs are, and might be oblivious next time too, if it were to happen. 4) If there has been cheating, there's a good chance that the other person might be at risk of STDs if they were to engage in activities with the cheater, so it's paramount to know (Amazing point made by the commenter Kay [@K.KZbin2]) So while yes, it's painful, I think it's very necessary.

Lmao I think we need to normalize shaming again😂 y’all getting too comfortable with what y’all put on the internet and how serious of an offense cheating is in a relationship, like y’all really snitching on y’all self on the internet (which WILL stay on the net literally forever, doesn’t matter if it’s deleted or not) for nothing but a couple laughs and likes that’s kinda crazy
@mun36982 жыл бұрын
I had the same exact thinking. Like, being a cheater means you’re a shithead that needs to be avoided yet it’s being confidently shown here. No shame when there should be tons of it.
@Rudi_Mentary7232 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I hate that KZbin deletes comments. For videos like these and many others that this channel uploads, shaming actually should be the norm.

I hate when people like the person with the blue hair try to perpetuate that it's weird to not want to be in a poly relationship. There is literally nothing wrong with not wanting your partner to be fucked by somebody else lmfao. As long as you don't expect to fuck other people and the respect goes both ways, that's a healthy relationship. It feels like blue hair was trying to make it sound "weird" ...

@theclockworkheart2 жыл бұрын
i mean the ex himself thought they were on a break lol, there was nothing wrong with realizing she was getting feelings for someone else. she also thought they were completely broken up, so even more justified. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ if you actually listen to her she said nothing even happened, he just assumed she cheated. if you want to doubt a stranger it's not like i can stop you, but that's an incredibly bad faith take.

I've never cheated and I never will but I think the ONLY forgivable form of cheating is like, when you're literal children. Still shitty and inexcusable, but kids make those kinds of impulsive decisions. You should know better as an adult.

Just "catching feelings" for someone else isn't the same as emotional cheating as long as you don't flirt with the other person etc. Weird reasoning from that guy, not everyone has sexual fantasies about every crush either
