We shot this on the Canon XF405 and XF705 cameras. Both have infrared recording capabilities. Two small infrared lights were used in the studio, that's why you'll notice shadows! Infrared light is invisible to the human eye. Footage came out black and white, but we added a green tint to it in post-production so it would be more recognizable as night vision footage.

I tried this with my ex GF and the two of us talking in the dark room. We talk about our akward moments and what we did in the past. Remembering the good and bad moments before and sometimes blaming each other. Talk about our ups and downs in our career. As an ex addict, when I was in a relationship with my ex fiance I never cheated or anything like that.. but I wasn't always honest about my addiction and where I was when I was getting things for my addiction and that really put a strain on our relationship. I hated myself for that. I ended up leaving the relationship because I felt like I was bringing him down and I needed to work on myself and my sobriety. I did it for both of us. He loved me when I didn't love myself and I will always be grateful for that. What really sucks is that after I got clean and was a better version of myself I tried to reconnect and he wanted nothing to do with it.. I guess I hurt him too much and he didn't understand why I left. My depression and issues were just too much and I couldn't put that on him anymore because he didn't deserve it. I don't believe that an addict can have a genuine relationship. It just isn't possible, at least from my perspective.
@savannahalvarado34893 жыл бұрын
I understand you and feel for you. Only difference is we're both addicts and both depressed. It's been a very hard year for us and we've decided to part ways multiple times, before this year we were so so so solid and couldn't see a future without one another. It's just so hard saying goodbye to someone you know you could've been great with. I know what you mean about feeling guilty, he stopped drinking all on his own while I stayed at my moms house for a month or so. I came back, and my addiction was still active and it brought him back down. He was feeling so much better, cooking, cleaning, taking our dogs on walks twice a day. Now we're back in the dark pit where we have no motivation to do any of that. And it's my fault.

i really feel for the third couple. i don’t feel like the girl is a villain in the relationship though. i commend her for finally ending it with him and not continuing to drag out a relationship that already had reached its expiration. i think she needed to be alone so she could work on her communication skills for any future partner she has because failing to stop him from putting a deposit on a engagement ring😬that def woulda been a time to speak up. i also think he needs to be alone for a while to really relearn how to love himself and know his worth so he doesn’t entertain another relationship where he’s giving more than he’s receiving. hopefully she’ll eventually let go of the guilt she feels from this relationship and hopefully he will be able to one day view the relationship from her viewpoint and just appreciate the lessons he could take away from it.

I am happy that people are also resonating and not just being dismissive of the ex gf. I resonated with her, and I know she knows (and those who have been in that situation) how much anxiety and fear and sadness comes from the realization that you care for this person so much, and you know that you can't be/give them what they need, and then having to leave the relationship. This is what was best for them both ultimately, for them to both find a partner who they love and adore equally, and can communicate with in a healthy manner.
@longlivesparkles133 жыл бұрын
i really relate to the girl who wasn't as into the guy as he was into her. really fkn sucks too cause you're stuck between caring about them but also not being able to care as much as they do and the guilt just eats away,,, i tried to convince myself i was just in a lull for weeks before i finally just broke it off cause it wasn't fair for either of us anymore. Still really hurt though cause you feel like the bad guy,,, also having so much of someone's happiness in the palms of your hands is ,,,terrifying - commitment issues? maybe lmao EDIT: i know its not a big deal but damn this is the first time i've had so much response to a comment on youtube haha. It's bittersweet but comforting to know that theres a lot of people who feel the same or similar. Media and society tends to spotlight the person who's broken up with and barely shows the other side so it was hard for me to personally deal with this situation. But just want to say to everyone in this kind of situation, you're not a bad person for breaking up with someone because you don't feel the same. It's just a reality and as harsh as it is, there's really no way to lessen the blow of a break up (other than doing it in the kindest way possible). Just be empathetic but don't pull yourself down with it. And remember to communicate this stuff early on and don't drag it out as hard as it is. It's okay to feel scared about hurting them cause hurting anybody is always a shit feeling, but know that in the end, being honest about how you feel is the best for you and whoever the other party is. Time heals, friends
@LunarySSF23 жыл бұрын
it is commitment issues but sometimes also cognitive dissonance hard to deal with the thought you aren't "worth" their love innit, or that you just don't love them like that no one should make you feel bad for not loving them as much as they do, but it is messed up if you don't communicate that and let the confusion/frustration/guilt flow instead

The guy just broke my heart. He was so genuine and so thoughtful. He was ready to tie that knot, which i may say not every guy would do and they’d only like to play around. I hope that you find a really great person who would love you so much and could be able to exceed or be in the level of love you give. It might be hard to move on from a person who you’ve shared so much time with, but maybe they’re not for you and they were a lesson for you to meet the person you’re supposed to be with. And don’t even be questioning yourself if maybe you weren’t good enough, sometimes even if you have everything or you’re the person they’ve been looking for. It’s hard to see love from someone, if you yourself is struggling to give love to yourself. I hope one day we get to value ourselves that we become aware how others love us. I feel like we push people away so much because we don’t see our worth.

I really don't get how people who can barely talk to each can have sex comfortably. How do you even meet up for that. Just a booty call and a kind of hate fuck, or is it rather the old comfort feeling of already knowing the other person even if anything else with them feels bad? I lived with my ex for another 6 months after breaking up and there were weird moments when we got close to each other (narrow kitchen corridor) but we never kissed again or anything even though it would still feel somewhat natural.
