It did. You play eight conference games and the other three you can play whoever you want.

It doesn’t because both schools already solidified their 8 game mandate. They both play all their divisional opponents and 3 cross division. This game was both teams was open and probably a better draw than d2 opponents. Which worked because over 20k was in attendance.

Alabama State uniforms look better than Southern Univ. uniforms!!! The best thing about the HBCU football is their highlights and the marching bands. Great win for Alabama State by beating Southern 14-10!!!
