She’s somewhere within the top 6 as far as “God Worship” by number of individuals in the modern galaxy goes, rivaled only by The Emperor and the 4 main Chaos Gods. It’s a double edged sword then that she isn’t a proper warp entity (on the one hand she’d be a proper god AND a strong one, but on the other that would bring A LOT of unwanted attention to her doorstep.)

I hadn't even considered that idea before. I think I might love that idea now. The Void Dragon actually _enjoying_ being the Omnissiah, even more than they did being a C'tan, and actually willingly helping humanity and protecting them, rather than simply tolerating their circumstances, not unlike a stray cat. A stray cat might intially need to be forced to stay inside and be domesticated, but once they realize life with a human is actually pretty good, they change their tune and want to keep their new life, even becoming possessive of the person that forced them into it. But it's a weird arrangement, because cats think _they're_ the owner, not the pet, and yet they were forced into it by us. It's not quite Stockholm Syndrome, because the power dynamic is wrong. From their perspective, it's almost like a pet is forcing _them_ to adopt _it,_ instead of them _being_ the pet getting forcibly adopted. Maybe that's how the Omnissiah views humanity.

I like this idea, and how it doesnt explicitly hint that the void dragon is refusing because what they did was morally reprehensible, but rather because they realised that it just isnt worth inviting retribution from 'lesser beings' It seems that the void dragons shattering and the imprisonments of their shards humbled them. They didn't change out of guilt but rather seeing a change in tactics. Seeing it as better and more efficient to have servants who serve out of a genuine devotion rather then brutal control

Given Mechanicus and Rogue Trader spoilers(plus the fact that people always likened Big E and Sigmar and we know WHOM saved Sigmar after End Times) plus books, it makes it quite likely that VD is indeed taking sides. However I feel like it's mostly GW trying to cash in the fact that for some reason fanbase has soft spot for Void Dragon. I guess the moment you call something "dragon", humans get an instinctive desire to -I can fix her- befriend and pet it.

She (The Void Dragon) was shattered into multiple shards by the Necrons. One pretty big chunk of it landed on Terra, Big E fought it and imprisoned within the Mars. This caused the Mars people to be super good at tech and starting the Machine Cult, not knowing that they technically worship the Xeno Star God

Grants stability and well a reason/history that gives it stable ground. Humanity mainly the portion that worship technology. Looks at funny elditch entity: “it’s hurts being near it but I can get use to it “ gets scratched “the pain is unreal but your so cuuuute , I will forget about your true form as your new form is built around you” Also if we all agree this is a scenario that would reasonably happen. It would give us more characterisation for the dragon: being stuck on mars and being worshipped changing him. Though he vaguely says once the fight for a stable galaxy is over. All he wants to do is punched the emperor and thank him right afterwards.
