I made reversible aprons for my grandchildren the fabric on one side had the names of all the cities in Texas, they live in Florida and the other side was fabric based on their hobbies, baking for my granddaughter and cooking for my grandson. I make my holiday aprons reversible as well. My thanksgiving aprons had pumpkins, turkeys, leaves and acorns appliquéd on them. They were cute.

Janet and I sure could have used this pattern about 5 years ago (when we were making aprons for a Children's Summer Vacation Skills Program). This program had both girls and boys in it. When it started, it looked hopeless that the aprons would be made on time. However, other people jumped in to help. Each child received his/her own apron before the program began. With your pattern we could have made sure that no two aprons were alike. Thank you for this video. Your apron came out very nice. I like it reversible (one side work in until it is soiled, turn it over for a clean side to serve in).
@TheSewingChannel2 жыл бұрын
I like the idea of turning it when soiled...I hadn't thought of that...Good thinking Arvetta✅

Who is that stunning haute couture fashion model?!? 😉 Very nice apron design, Tracy! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I like the little tuck at the top of the apron. Adds just a little interest to the top. FYI: Found out very quickly that trying to FMQ without gloves is NOT easy! So, gloves are on the way, as well as a silicon oven sheet for the top of my sewing machine bed. What meandering I did without gloves I was somewhat happy with. 😀 In the meantime, I've been watching a lot of FMQing KZbin videos.
@TheSewingChannel2 жыл бұрын
LOL I am definitely no model LOL😂 Glove are needed for sure in FMQ...as for the silicone mat...I bought one and hated it...might work for you though. Let me know how yours works when you get it✅

Very nice. I love the fashion fabric. One of my favorite things to make is aprons. Mine were one piece, double sided and I used D rings on the straps. Your pattern is great and I like the little tuck. A small alternate, put a slight curve on the bottom corners.
@TheSewingChannel2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the curve idea Ann....I thought D rings would be great too...I have those on hand...my next one I will try with the D rings. Thank you for your ideas💛

Did everyone buy the straps or did you substitute? I’m trying to figure out the length to make the straps with fabric. Any suggestions? Thank you! I love this apron!

I'd rather have 2 aprons. Not double, cause you get one side soil and you wash the apron , the other way you will get two faded fabrics from washing. But of course it is very nice.
