Looks depressed to me. You see dogs with loving human families that get taken to a beach for a family outing - they jump around, run around and play and frolic because they know they have their family ( pack ) to always be with. This dog has NOBODY and he KNOWS it.

Hate to say it.....but makes me think he/she was abandoned. This dog's energy makes me feel he/she belonged to someone. They will sit and wait for you. My heart goes out.

I saw a dog doing something similar to this in a video from an Asian country, his owner had sailed away for financial reasons, leaving him behind and the dog never got over it. He waited every day looking out to the horizon of the ocean for years. The people of the village somehow relayed this to the owner and the owner came back and they were reunited. it was so sad to see the dog that way but great to see them reunited.

this dog needs a home, if you run across the dog again, take him and keep him or help him land a home, this is no place he looks super tired, he needs a wam bed and food daily to relax and not stress where his next meal is coming from.

Although he looks quite healthy and resting in the sunlight, it is so sad that some countries and people just see this every day and accept it. Hopefully a charity or individual will pick him up and give him a permanent home and the love that he will not find on the street. 35 years ago I was in Athens Greece and saw these dogs just walking the city. We came across an injured dog that was just lying in the road, with people walking past it. We hailed a car and had him taken to the vet. So sad that some individuals have no competition but for their own.

This is sad and beautiful at the same time. He's tired because he probably can't sleep due to whatever trauma he's experienced out in the streets. And coming to this beach letting the water run beneath him where he can at least meditate and soak in the beauty of the ocean. I look at this dog and he knows what matters in life. He's got it figured out. I envy him in a way.

I couldn't help but cry my eyes out. It's not so much the tired/stoic looking dog but what its juxtaposed with: the music, the bright sun, the unceasing waves, the uncaring human bodies soaking in it and the little expression of love in the end. It just exudes melancholy for me.
