I never thought there could be more water pressure than what the radiator cap could have. Maybe 15psi not sure but it makes good sense

There is a lot of info out there stating the 12v pump flows the most. Sounds crazy but swear there is allot lf Info on it. Do u think the 6.7 pump is beneficial on a 12v?

I doubt cutting the fins off is going to get the impeller unvalanced in a way that it does more damage to the bearing then the drive belt putting constant pressure on it

That’s more of a casting issue then a pressure issue in my opinion

What's the benefits of running the 6.7 cast w.pump on a stock 12v ppump truck?

for a stock truck i am not sure you would see a different but that's something we will have to do some video's

Sure that's something I'm interested in finding out man. Anything to make the all mighty 12v last even longer n more reliable than it already is.

it's more a block pressure thing,

from what I understand it's when you're spending time above 3500-4k rpm it can generate incredible block pressure, but coolant bypass also helps relieve the block pressure

@@CUTTERUPROB I have yet to blow any freeze plugs out. Acdelco- 6.7 cast wheel pump in a 5.9 24v p pump compound turbos. 650 hp all day. 3k rpm., 50k miles, 20k towing- 240* ; street racing, etc.

Variable vane gadgets give mechanics opportunity to make a good income. The failure rate is simply too high for me. With my knowledge of hydraulics I wouldn’t modify the pump if there’s a high pressure problem. -Pumps don’t create pressure, they create flow. Resistance creates pressure. Rob, have you ever looked into fitting a pressure regulating valve in the cooling system such as ones in industrial hydraulic systems?

I know this video is old but why dont you just make a bigger water pump pulley to slow the water pump down? That would be the best fix.

@@CUTTERUPROB me too i watched your videos and read online how to make a 6.7 in a 5.9 truck work wasn’t cheap but I got it done hopefully 🤞 🙏 I torqued everything right and everything it in right I’ve only built 6-7 of these cummins the last one ram great until the cam ate my block I was in it 20k 10k I machine work gaskets in pistons this one im in 12k had to start from scratch
