Cutthroat Pass - Fall hiking in Washington State 4K

No matter which direction you come from, Cuttthroat Pass is a stunner of a fall hike!
I access this trail early in the morning following the Pacific Crest Trail, from the trailhead just off highway 20.
From deep, dark forest & hopping creeks at the start. To beautiful golden larch filled valleys & huge craggy mountain spires. The final push to the top offers some of the most scenic landscape Washington State has to offer.
Solo hiking is no problem when everywhere you turn boasts gorgeous views!

I'm a solo gal too! Thank you for talking about the mental aspect of it. I watch you and think, she's always so carefree! 90% of the time I'm good, but there's that 10% where you are in a hike and for no reason at all you feel hyper alert and a bit spooked. It's still never enough to keep me from hiking though. ❤❤

Totally feel this girl! The video only catches glimpses of those spooked moments. But I get them plenty. Mostly it just shows the moments of peace and fun. Also I think it’s so awesome that we have that awareness and senses to know when it’s time to pay attention. Stay safe out there and trust your gut. 💛

I spend most my time driving by or over these mountains. So far done most my hiking in CA because every time I have time off in WA it always seems to be raining. But can't wait to tackle this one. Thanks for the amazing content and beautiful videos Wandering Jess 😉
