The best part? These vibrant colors are actually from shrubs, succulents & other ground cover blanketing the gorgeous meadows. From vibrant red paintbrush to flaming orange elderberries. 😍
Not only that but this unforgettable experience also boasts its jaw dropping views of Mount Rainier, and the entire cascade range! Including Mount Baker, Mount Saint Helens & Mount Hood.

Here in New England, there's definitely competition for Fall colors, especially VT and NH. And side note, we were visiting my wife's family in Washington a few weeks ago, August 2023, and took Skyline. It is spectacular. At 4:55 mark, you point at a peak and say it's Mt. Baker. I do believe that actually is Mt. Adams. Baker is a couple hours north of Rainier, which blocks Baker's view.

Superb Fall (or Autumn as we call it in the UK) colours and Mount Rainer looked awesome, what a stunning sight that was. It looked a great trail to follow and I can see why it is one of the parks most popular trails. I always like an early start to a hike and quiet trail, despite being a sociable person but never got a candy from a Ninja before 😳. Stunning views from the viewing are at the top also good to see some of your local wildlife and wow, great waterfall to end on! Great hike and a great vlog, cheers Alan

Hi, would you suggest visiting on sept 20’s or around October 15 for great fall colors. Just wondering if it snows on mid- October and will be difficult to hike. Thanks for sharing those spectacular views!!

Best bet is early October. You’ll get the fall colors but as the month pushes on it’s more likely to get inclement weather

Unfortunately probably not this year. Fingers crossed for next. This year I’m going to work on my mountaineering skills and Avalanche training. That way I can take on that beast better prepared

probably a nice idea. I think I got lucky. I summited rainier by myself after watching youtube videos as my second climb with mt hood being my first. No special training just in really good physical and mental shape lol
