I don’t understand why more people don’t pay attention to things like what you will do under the deck! It make perfect sense! I guess many people won’t find themselves crawling under a deck but obviously you have done that and understand the need to prepare that area! Great attention to detail!!!

Agreed! You can see under there and it should look nice, especially if this becomes a vacation rental!! The other option is building privacy lattice panels to hide things, but if you have to go into the crawl space it would be a mess. The pea gravel is the right idea here!

Beautiful aerials of the pasture plus mowing and baling hay. Will you let the cows in to clean up the leftover hay? Flag is flying tall and proud. Mr. Chris you are a lucky man. This is no longer a cabin. When you throw in a hot tub and add a rainfall shower head you are into luxury rental. Plus a screened in porch overlooking water. Charge accordingly. Thank you for the video. Have a wonderful weekend.

Thanks for showing the haying. Brings back loads of memories from over 50 years ago. The cabin looks awesome and can't wait to see what's next. "I've been busy", no joke. I don't know how many irons you have in the fire, but having the equipment to go from site to site depending on the weather has to be nice. Thank you for sharing, Chris.

Chris that would look awesome with a walkway going down to the pond from the porch there with guard rails and LED lights on it down to a floating deck in the water with a barbecue grill and benches and set up with LED lights around it. it would be awesome but a Beautiful Place

why do I get the feeling that when this cabin is done just the thought of sitting on that back porch on a summer evening looking out over the pond, sipping on a 6-pack of Pepsi (I live on the stuff) might be a very relaxing way to end a day. Color me green with envy...

Beautiful field. I Would advise not sticking your hand into a windrow. Back when I had to buck man-size bales (I'm 77) more than once found myself looking right at a copperhead stitched into a bale I was lifting. Those hayfields next to a creek bed were full of them!

I've salted a lot of hay.You salt it with salt when you have to bail it.And it's still a little bit green and you noticed it was getting hot.The salt stops it from Catching Fire.I used to lay the salt down on every layer.Cause we used to stack our hay bales that were square inside in the hay mount

Cabin looks like it's coming along just fine and the hay field is definitely pulling it's weight for you. IIRC a year or so ago the price of hay was through the roof. No idea if it's come back down but definitely a good thing that you can produce plenty of your own

Hay with a little to much moisture will get super hot we always alternate stacked in the barn leaving air channels so it could breathe ,Great Video thanks Chris

I always wondered what kind of machine bailed the hay, it looks like a conveyer system that just rolls it up into a bail, how it ties it up is beyond me, pretty neat process. The cabin is coming along great, fabric and gravel works great, that`s how I did underneath our pool deck, fabric and pea gravel, it`s been 2 years and it still looks as clean as it did when I put it down. We have an 8x10 pool deck and every now and the I take the leaf blower to blow out the leaves and cut em up, be well my friend.
