Kiwi may be an artist but first, a business man. What Kiwi likes or dislikes doesnt matter. It's what the customer prefers. This vehicle will be safer, better performing and more comfortable than what Detroit could have imagined in the late 60's.

This guy is taking this Cougar to the extreme…..and I LIKE IT! A Coyote engine alone smokes anything Ford ever offered as an engine option in the Cougar. Topping it off with a Whipple supercharger just puts it right on over the edge of insanity 😄. What a great start to this build 👍🏻

It's lookin good. I've built numerous street cars and race cars over the years, and unfortunately I'm cursed with being a perfectionist. I've watched all of your videos, and I really enjoy watching you do fab work because you do a lot of the little things that I would do when building a car. Things that many people wouldn't even think about doing, or if they did think about it, they wouldn't bother spending the time to do it. It's surprising how little things make such a big difference overall when a car is finished... On a different note, that supercharger is freakin huge. But then again, the engine it's sitting on isn't exactly small LOL...

I’d suggest a mask to keep the aluminum oxide/fiberglass substrate from the metal cut-off blades out of the lungs. Earlier this week I donned a full face shield while cutting outside and at the end of the day I hacked out quite a bit of something black and I’m still clearing my throat. I didn’t imagine particles would remain floating in my breathing space. 2 days later I had a previously scheduled CT scan of my lungs and I explained they may find something black but they didn’t. Maybe my nasal passages and throat caught it. Aluminum is a neurotoxic metal, linked to Alzheimer's and I remember reading about the effects of low-level chronic solvent exposure on the central nervous system in car painters indicating cognitive issues such as deficits in concentration, memory and reaction time. So now I’m wondering if suspended aluminum particles may play a role. Well all the kicks I’ve taken to the head in the 70’s and 80’s, the traumatic brain injury from a fall at work in 98, my advanced age of almost 68, and the fact my hobby for over 40 years has been cutting out rusty metal and painting cars…dementia is an obvious concern. I saw those sparks flying on that nearby Mustang and it reminded me of the time I discovered pitting in the door glass, probably from grinding. I miss the Orange ‘67 Mustang fastback I had in the 70’s I had to sell because it was a cop magnet. I found the ‘67 fastback on a dealers backlot in Redford Michigan, presumably a trade-in, and it had a 390, tubular headers, an aluminum high-rise intake, a Holley double-pumper carb, a Mallory dual-point distributor, a Hurst competition plus shifter, traction bars, and for some reason it didn’t have a trunk pan, just the starting battery. Someone said the lobe of the engine sounded like it had some sort of race cam but as a young teen I had no idea. All I knew was whenever challenged, I was more than happy to oblige. I won every race except one and that was against another ‘67 Mustang, but it was the smaller coupe. We were neck to neck until he started pulling away. It started on southbound Telegraph at Cherry hill in Dearborn MI and the police lights turned on just before the Michigan Ave ramp so I took the exit hoping he’d go after the winner of the race instead of me but he got me. While receiving my ticket, I saw the other guy was also pulled over, just further down on Telegraph. I didn’t know the guy but saw him later and I was shocked to discover he had a smaller 289 hi-po with about the same mods my car had. Smaller engine, lighter body, and probably knew what he was doing because I merely changed the oil and drove the heck out of it. With so many tickets, I nearly lost my license so it had to go. Such good memories. Anyway, safety first.

Not solid but very little movement. I opened up the side gaps a little more and she won't touch now !

How does something like this work? Do you just work as the customer pays you or do you have an agreement on cost and a timeline? How long do you think you will have this car for?

No pre agreed price, way to many variables and most of these projects evolve as they go.

It's not that I don't appreciate such a car, but to me, you put a classic car back on the road because you love the classic car. You love how it looks. You love how it sounds and you love how it drives. I just don't get why anyone would do this to a classic car. If you love modern cars and amenities, just buy a Demon or something. Or even an 80s or 90s Mustang. Cars from the 80s and 90s much more reflect modernity than this car. What this type of thing ends up being is more resembling a kind of retro-futurism than a classic car. I'm sure this car will be beautiful when its finished and a be fine driving machine. But it is lost. The personality is lost.

It's all subjective bud, some will like, some won't. I enjoy doing this kind of stuff others love doing the 100% correct restorations. Thanks for watching !

@@tarstarkusz I know man. I didn't think you were criticizing. Donks ( those big bodied cars with 26/28 even 30" wheels ) stump me, I don't think they look good even with my eyes closed 🤦
