Yeah, central locking is a nicety I could live with in a classic, along with maybe electric windows (a rarity down here until the late 70s/early 80s). Hi Kiwi! Fyi, although there's no inside lock button, many car doors of that era could indeed be locked and unlocked from the inside: push the inside door handle forward with the door closed, and it would lock. Pulling it back simultaneously unlocks and opens the door.

Back in the mid 80's I had an accident at work in Auckland. I had just turned 18 and I needed over 90 units of blood in just a few days. All blood donors are super, Kiwi. Thanks to all the donors, people like me have lived to be old dudes too.

When you showed the problem with the rear door locks, my first thought was "maybe make a bellcrank so you an get the right angle of pull?" And then you proceed to describe just that. 👍

Making up those push rods reminded me as a kid doing the same for elevator controls through a bell crank on model airplanes. Great job as always Kiwi.
