I love how the reactions to the tram gong from pedestrians is always to either lazily continue as if the tram wasn't there or immediately run full speed out of the way. Like each person either really cares that they are in the way or they just don't at all and there's nothing in-between.

I lived on the Erasmusweg when Lijn 16 went as far as the Loevestijn laan and i had to walk from jus passed the Leyweg to catch the tram

Upon releasing the power pedal, the tram will coast. The emergency brake can be activated by pressing the brake pedal all the way to the bottom. Alternatively, there is also a big red button on the control panel which has the same effect.

@@ItzChickenYall just from watching a lot of his videos, I can answer this. The answer is yes to both. In these videos the route is preset and tracks switch automatically, but he can also use the touch screen on his right to manually set the next switch to go left, right, or center, which he uses when moving the tram to the start of a route or back to the depot.

At the beginning of the ride, the driver sets the route in the board computer. The tram has a transponder on board that automatically programs the next switch to be in the proper alignment for the current route. Of course that can be overridden in case of diversions.

Aan de eindpunten zijn er faciliteiten waar we naar het toilet kunnen, even kunnen uitrusten en koffie kunnen pakken. Misschien een leuk idee voor een video om de HTM-huisjes eens te laten zien.
