Thank God for this channel - Tyler is always doing all the stuff I have to do to my WJ, right at the same time I’m doing it 😂

Maybe that just means all WJ's are broken at the same time lol

Tyler!!! Thank you for the video! I'm on my third Jeep. Well, I have a YJ and just bought my first WJ. It's a low-mileage, well-maintained, dealer serviced, 2004 Limited, one woman owner, garaged, perfect in and out.....except...the same exact rust spot as you had. I'm and looking to fix. Love the channel! Keep up the great work!

Glad you are saving the WJ’s. I’ve owned two. A 2001 4.7 Laredo and a 2002 4.7 limited. Should’ve never sold the limited. I pretty much rebuilt it (transmission, rear end, blend doors, heater core, too much to list lol) to drive another 100k. Then sold it & bought a new 2015 Overland w/Hemi. Will definitely join your Facebook group

At least my Laredo has plastic cladding covering all the rot 😬

Not to be a total nanny about what your repair job. For safety sake never ever use a cut off wheel on a grinder without proper eye protection and some work gloves. Grinding/cutting disc's are a scary and potentially lethal when they disintegrate/explode. Just a heads up. Have a great weekend.

I have never gotten to see a diesel WJ in person since we didn't get any in the US.

Good content triggered a new sub! All WJ's are the odd combination of unibody construction with a straight front axle - Just know that body rust NEVER goes away or stops on a body. I'm not a bodyman or painter but I've been a PDR Hail guy for 32 years working in hundreds of body shops and as an insurance adjuster. Unless the rocker is properly sectioned with weld-thru-primer and treated with cavity wax internaly, it will now rust from the inside out. Making it "look better" is admirable, however it will eventually return... guaranteed! If I had done all of that work, both rockers would be coated with black rock-guard to coverup the patch with texture. Note to self: Always pass on rust-buckets!

Thanks for the sub and info! I always pass on rusty ones also but this one was really weird, no rust underneath but a really bad spot on that one rocker. It was worth trying to make it better. Thanks for the view!

Great video! With these 2" lifts, do you also replace the trackbar, or is that not necessary with such a small lift?
@TylerPotter
@TylerPotter Жыл бұрын
With just the 2in lift the trackbar isn't necessary, I finally added a adjustable trackbar to mine once I was at a 3in lift. Thanks for the view!

Looks good, I wish mine was that simple. The entire panel under the vehicle is rotted out. I'll never again buy a rust belt vehicle. $10k down the drain.
