Thanks for the upload! I changed my front air struts and damaged the threads on the axle trying to get it to break free from the rotor. I tried to chase the threads but I made it worse. Looks like I’m going to order the axle and swap it out. Looks fairly easy, thanks again for the tutorial!

Great video, what's the torque spec of the 36mm axel nut? Is the final torque pass done with the tire on the ground with the weight of the car? Thanks

I’m getting ready to do my tell me if you have to tighten bottom big strut bolt when wheels are touching the ground so bushing doesn’t go bad. And what is the torque spec on 36mm axle nut? Thanks

It’s better if you let it touch the ground before tying it completely! The torque spec I will check for you and comment it soon!

Do you have to turn off the air shock before removing the control arm or the lower arm ?

Any time you have to raise the vehicle You have to disconnect the battery if your car is equipped with Air Shock correct!!! Hope this video is helpful and would definitely appreciate a new subscriber!!

Would that be a good opportunity to drain/replace the front differential oil? It takes about 0.8 liter, spec MB 239.72

@@RJTillRacing best thing to do is either put the air suspension in service mode with a professional scanner if not then disconnect the battery and lift the car!

How do you put this in service mode or turn off air suspension?

@@sunnyg2977 if you have a professional scanner you could go to hot functions and put it in transport mode / Service mode if not just disconnect the battery before you start and connect it back once it’s back on the ground!

Check to see if the axle is fully installed to the front differential / trans and, was there any leak when you removed the old axle?

I doubt it honestly the best way would be to go to any parts store and give them your vin number and they will be able to look it up for you and get you the right part
