Adam Cole explains the origin of his trademark "baybay" taunt and how it is partly a tribute to Chris Jericho. Adam Cole is currently wrestling for AEW, but made a name for himself in WWE's NXT and also as a former 3-time World Champion in Ring of Honor (ROH).

I knew little of Adam prior to NXT. I caught snippets of ROH and when he was in Bullet Club. When he came into NXT, it was instant "love" for me. He's so good and I think WWE missed out on a star. I love his interviews because he's so cool and funny. I'll be a fan for a long time.

It's funny how the little things in wrestling catch on. The Yes Chant is another good example, that was not something I thought would last as long as it has. What makes Bay Bay and the Yes chant even better is WWE can't do shit about it. It worked out better for Adam though because he did it pre-WWE.

Except WWE can do something about the Yes Chants.... not sure legally, but they have asked Bryan to stop doing it, which he has respected...... they could trademark the chants etc.... As for the Bay Bay thing, they probably can't do that... they could try to trademark it but they'd lose as it was a thing before WWE...

From his skills on the mic to his skills in the ring Adam Cole is definitely the total package he could easily be the face of any promotion. And kudos to his believability because I remember when he showed up in AEW when he confronted Tony Schiavone about Tony Schiavone's friendship with his girlfriend Britt Baker he legit made me feel like there was real heat between them I was shocked to find out Tony Schiavone helped him with that epic promo because he was the one who threw the nerd line in. Yep Adam Cole is going to be a big star in AEW for a long time to come.

I only known him from NXT but when he debuted I was instantly hooked. I said to myself, "Who is this guy?" and then started to google everything. I love UE but I'm glad he is on AEW now.
