I have a theory as to why the battle master ignores the outfit Mario wears. I think the encounter could be set to ignore any equipped badges. It instead allows you to use moves for any badge in your inventory. This would also be what disables evasion badges since they’d just be annoying in a practice session. That would, of course, come with the consequence of costume badges being temporarily disabled.

Huh, never thought about that. I knew badges didn't come into play in Battle Master sessions (using Power Plus didn't make an additional star appear to represent the damage), but I didn't know it would ignore aesthetic badges too.

DPG in Poshley still works on 1.0.1 if you activate Tube Mode and the loading zone while exiting the room where HP Drain is, similar to what you did in 0:37. opens up a TON of other fun and quirky things you can do

I just randomly came across this and wanted to thank you so much for crediting us! It's a practice that is very lost within speedrun-esque documentary styled videos. Glitch hunting is a hobby that people have a huge passion for, and that should be celebrated, especially considering the positive reception these compilation videos often get. When people don't do their diligence to properly credit even something that may seem as meaningless as the discoverer of a video game glitch, it just shows me they have a lack of commitment and investment in the content they're putting out, and often demotivates the people who really do deliberately search for these. (imagine you find a cool glitch, upload it, and it gets reuploaded by a bigger channel because they can't replicate what you did and want all the attention that comes with it.... it sucks!) And on top of that, if you directly communicate with those people, you can elevate your own content in the meantime, because we can give way more footage and info as well as the juicy history behind it all. It's a win win and it's just so refreshing to see a content creator who goes the extra mile - it's super encouraging and I wanted to take the time to express to you how grateful we are to see it. You even went out of your way to list us individually when most would have opted for the simplification of just "the TTYD speedrunning community". Thank you and great job!! Your editing style is very nice on the eyes. Three Shadows Skip still works btw! ;)

Thank you very much for all the kind words, it's only right I credited everyone, as this video wouldn't exist without you and everyone else! I agree with everything you said, while I'm usually not the one who discovers most of these, I still enjoy testing them out myself to find simpler setups, more outcomes/results from doing them, and other potential places to try the glitch out at. Plus, and I promise I'm not trying to step on any toes when saying this, some of these glitches are pretty difficult to find documentation of. If I didn't happen to find an unlisted link in the discord, I wouldn't have known some of these existed. So part of the goal of this vid was to bring those to life, and show others who may not know of all the resources out there, such as the discord. Big thanks to you specifically as I know you run the discord and help keep everything organized in there, which was a HUGE help finding these and making sure I credited the right people :)

@@CWillyHD Oh no you're DEFINITELY right about that! We recently had a conversation about trying to be better about publicly documenting everything and making the information more accessible. Hopefully the strat.db page and the videos only channel was helpful enough for now though! I can't thank you enough fr, sometimes it does get tough trying to keep everything running smoothly (especially during a big release like this, jeez lmao!) but this honestly made us all so incredibly happy!!! Also thank you for demonstrating the Double Dip early strat, it's so hard LMAO

Another small visual glitch: go into Tube Mode and fall into any water in the game. When mario lands and you start walking around, you'll find mario now walks backwards until you use hammer, paper mode, riding on yoshi and jumping off, etc.

When it comes to grinding up 200 badges for badge duping, get like 20 to 30 Super Appeals in case you want to do some wacky strategies with it then let the rest be Refund badges. For whatever reason, Refund sells for 10 more coins than Super Appeal so if you sell enough Refunds it'll help cover the cost of better badges you want to dupe, especially in the very early game.

Ok so i found a soft lock that involves the prof. Frankly’s house out of bounds and then doing the tube mode clip into Bobbery’s house results in a soft lock because you can not get out of the house after you clip in.

I experimenred a bit witb the second glitch and apparently the god medal cancel's mario transformation into a shadow, it shine overwrites the black, so interesting, no idea of the reason, L and W medal doesn't do that Great video!

The Battle Master deactivating Emblems and Attack FX badges is likely intentional and not a glitch, it may also deactivate other badges too and people just haven't noticed yet
