That was an awesome video . I've been wondering if it was possible to change that method on the gear shift . From up down on the rotation to a standard usage .Brilliant and some fine detail being explained perfectly . And it looks the dogs dangly bits . Thanks for proving it can be done .

hey man I really enjoy watching your progress in building this awesome bike, but I was wondering what kind of welder are you using and which type of welding would you recommend for bike projects? TIG or MIG? Thnx
@BrickHouseBuilds4 жыл бұрын
I have been using a mig for the last 16 or so years on projects and recently picked up the TIG you see. Its a Miller Syncrowave 180sd. For small detailed projects like this I feel a tig is invaluable due to the heat control but generally most of what you see me make in other videos can be done with a mig. I made a video on my welder setup a couple months ago actually that you could check out.

Great work again but you really need to invest in a lathe I bought one from England it cost me nearly as much for shipping ,taxes and delivery than the lathe cost . but still cheaper than if I was to have bought it here . On the cx we have there are lots of things missing i.e the spacers for holding the radiator on in those rubber mountings, 20 mins turned 3 of them on the lathe in aluminium. Thanks again from Marcus and Jonatan Israel .
@BrickHouseBuilds4 жыл бұрын
I will eventually have a lathe but I literally do not have space for it. I'm not going to buy a desktop mini lathe as I want a large quality one. If I had the space I'd be working to get one.

@@BrickHouseBuilds yes I can see your work shop would be well tight if you got a big lathe .my very little work space (my man cave ) is from floor to ceiling with machines

@@marcusparkes5727 The big purchase this year was the tig and computer/filming equipment so hopefully next year when I reorganize the shop a bit I can figure out a lathe situation
@brianwilliams65013 жыл бұрын
BJ, did you have to add a return spring on rear brake?
@BrickHouseBuilds3 жыл бұрын
No the master cylinder has its own spring which resets the foot pedal. I just added a stopper beyond what I showed in the video.

WHEN YOU WELDED THE (LH) (RH) LINKAGE TOGETHER YOU SHOULD HAVE ADDED A NUT IN THE MIDDLE FOR ADJUSTMENT.
@BrickHouseBuilds2 жыл бұрын
It has full adjustment on the lowest link rod actually. You spin the entire shaft to adjust in or out like a factory bike.

@BrickHouseBuilds2 жыл бұрын
Lol she will make more appearances I'm sure
@Christian6.18034 жыл бұрын
Not sure if you've seen this, but you can put that shaft back in the drill press chuck, and grip the drill bit in the press vise and spin the work piece and not the bit. Doing it this way automatically centers the hole perfectly in the stock.
@BrickHouseBuilds4 жыл бұрын
Good tip but this drill press does not spin with much accuracy to be honest. You can see your work being off center when in use and it drives me crazy. Replacement drill press is on "the list"

Consigue un torno
@BrickHouseBuilds3 жыл бұрын
I know, I need one but they are both very expensive and take up a lot of space. I have a very small work space and minimal budget. A lathe/mill is very high on my want list.
