In my opinion the current Goldwing Navigation system is frustrating at best. Being able to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto lessens that burden. So on destination trips, I use CarPlay and choose between Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, Sygic or Rever depending on the situation. However I have added the Garmin Zumo XT for when I am going place to place on the fly because I can access that without having to jump through so many hoops using the others and can use gloved hands etc. My point to all of this Chris, is why use a wireless charger for the phone when the usb that is used for CarPlay charges the phone at the same time? If one is not using the maps off of the phone, one still has access to all the listening devices etc to the headset as well as calls. As you probably know, using the Garmin in conjunction with CarPlay. gives the Garmin directions to the headset while listening to other audio sources from the phone. Just curious why you added the wireless charger instead of another device in that location, like a Garmin for example.

You make a very good point, but to answer your question, why have wireless charging capability if I already have the glovebox usb charging cable to charge a phone? It’s because I have another work phone, one phone can be connected to the glovebox usb for apple car play and the other work phone can be charging with the wirelessly charging phone cradle, now I have the best of both worlds with the Cybercharger.

I was looking at getting this but most wireless chargers don't work on phones with cases so decided against it, like to keep my case on.

Was the 4 amp fuse that came with the charger the right style for your fuse block? A lower amp protection for an expensive charger
@chriscaliente50333 жыл бұрын
Good question, since I cut off the Cybercharger in line 4 Amp fuse holder, I can replace the Fuse Block 5 amp fuse with the original cybercharger fuse 4 amp fuse, now problem solved because the 4 and 5 amp fuses are the exact same Standard size.

Did you have a second phone or does the iPhone 6 have wireless charging after all?

I do. My iPhone 6 doesn’t charge wirelessly.

Maybe a stupid question. Will I still need to run a connection wire to plug the phone in for android auto or car play? which would mean 2 wires to the phone holder, correct?
@phredmanful3 жыл бұрын
Why would you need this? When you plugin for Android Auto or Apple Car Play, your phone is charging. Plus, you see everything on your phone, on the main screen, and all phone functions.

Put a Cell Phone Case on the phone and then see if the charger is strong enough to charge through the case!
@jurgenniklaus40463 жыл бұрын
So for Android car play you still have to plug in the usb? Why do you need the charging now?

Hi Chris, I noticed this charger has no on/off button. So is there a constant draw of power from the battery when the bike is sitting?
@bubblehead7680 Жыл бұрын
There would be (and the manufacture recommends disconnecting if not riding for two weeks with a good battery), but it isn't an issue if connected to a power source that turns on with the bike.

Using the igniter for your heat shrink near the gas tank is not the smartest procedure. A heat gun would have been safer
