I would love to have Tesla like driver assist functionality for heavy traffic. And I am glad that Musk has pushed this so aggressively that even non ev cars are adding these capabilities it seems likely that Musk’s vision will ultimately lower the cost of production. … and likely dramatically accelerate improvements in battery technology. EV tech and the infrastructure will only improve over time and these factories mean production numbers will only get better. In the meantime I will enjoy both of my cars which allow me to fill up at the gas station in less than 5 minutes and be off and one of my cars is a high performance sports car that allows me to row my own gears with a slick shifting 6-speed manual.
