1. a bad actor can sign their software with fake credentials (which would make the autoruns sofware think it's a legit ms sofware) 2. What about Fileless Malware 3. What about software that is hidden in Registry 4. What about Persistence Beyond OS Reinstallation like Custom GPU Bios There are many other ways they can hide their software but I don't want to go that deep.

My laptop like a month or 2 ago was acting weird ,I was opening a video and there were endless adds ,I had to click to the video several times sometimes I was clicking 20-30 times and after it the video began Do you know what was the problem ,sometimes KZbin warns not to use add blockers maybe it was happening because of it?

How would I know if a PDF file did something? I've opened a lot of PDFs from suspicious sources and after checking them on Virustotal, some of them came up as potentially malicious based on behavior. What would I have to look for to check if they actually did something?

Most likely they didnt do snything unless you clicked on a link inside a pdf. You can also use pdfid to check if the pdfs are suspicious, check for things like javascript code etc
