What is the best method to use it with my pc gaming ? Should i connect all cables to it directly then connect it to power socket in the wall OR should i connect all cables ( power supply / monitor power cable / speakers / etc ... ) in power strip firstly then connect power strip into CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD UPS ?
@BuildOrBuy
@BuildOrBuy 3 жыл бұрын
Hi mms medo, Nice to meet You. 1. Connect UPS to wall. 2. Connect Computer and Monitor to UPS Protected side. 3. Connect Peripherals to non UPS Protected side. 4. Do NOT conect a Printer to UPS Protected side. Printers draw too much power. The Printer would overwhelm the UPS and drain the battery instantly. You can use Power Strips to connect multiple devices and Plug that into the UPS non protected side. We have safely powered 2 Computers on 1 UPS. Just enough time for orderly shutdown. However, only 1 Computer can run the UPS software to Monitor and Test UPS health. Hole that helps! Thanks for Watching!

What UPS do you recommend with a true sinewave? the ones you said were more expensive?
@BuildOrBuy
@BuildOrBuy 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Pabula, Excellent question! This is a great UPS for the price... What type of Computer are You protecting? If a Workstation or above or mission critical systems then that warrants a better UPS. With that said, a Double Conversion UPS. Those are expensive. Clean Power is crucial for Computers especially when You need more than a modified sinewave UPS. www.cyberpowersystems.com/topology/double-conversion/ Hope that helps! Thanks for asking!

Hi Dimitris, Absolutely! 1. Battery is charged. 2. Battery is connected and ready to use! We currently have 7 of these. I wish they'd run them on sale again. That may be a while given current supply chain circumstance. Thanks for watching! If You have any Computer related questions, You need answered, We're here to help!

I have been told that charging a lead acid battery and storing it without a maintenance charge will degrade the battery. I have also been told that shipping them, while plugged into electronics, is a bad idea. I don't recall as to what sources I rec'd this info. It could all be from the manufacturer that sent me mine, uncharged AND disconnected from the device. This may be done for Customs/Imports or for sound science. Mod. # CP1350PFCLCDa

One year in, still works flawlessly. Definitely a good investment if your area has a lot of power outages or your home wires are plain bad.

Cyperpower says that its a true sine wave. Is it not?
@BuildOrBuy
@BuildOrBuy 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Havken Hayes, Depends upon whom You ask. Not for the price. "A pulse width modulated squarewave (also called simulated sine wave) is considerably easier to produce in a UPS." minutemanups.com/sinewave-vs-simulated-sinewave/ It's sine wave just not true sine wave. Still, for the price, it's Bang for the Buck! Hope that helps! Thanks for asking! For what it's worth, we use this model on our Computers and Video gear. Glad You asked. Thanks for watching! BTW: A true sine wave UPS will have attached gear operating on battery, all the time. Bigger and more expensive.

@@BuildOrBuy What are you talking about? You are not even doing test for saying it's not sine wave. It's natural sine wave. See video that this man make: kzbin.info/www/bejne/garWc3ikj7qWl9k . He have special equipment not like you who said "not for the price".

No its not a true sine wave but instead a simulated sine wave that can fool most sensitive devices into thinking its a natural sine wave

This should be a buildORbuy device. Why have to choose between what Schneider or Cyberpower offer in terms of converter or capacity. Components for solar systems allow the flexibility of pure sine wave inverters, USB communication, and the freedom to choose how many batteries you want. I've never said, "Those batteries lasted just long enough." ever. It's ALWAYS, "&@#¥£.....THE BATTERY DIED.

@@BuildOrBuy ...Howdy. If we take it a step further, and look at how silly the idea of converting A/C to D/C for the UPS batteries, then back to A/C for the plug to the pc's power supply then back to D/C for the motherboard, for five minutes of use, while being distracted by efficiency values and how clean a sine wave is, my brain hurts. What if we take the power supply out of the PC and use it as a battery charger and tap the batteries for the voltages we need at the motherboard? Adding capacitance filters the incoming power, allows more time online and negates many of the downfalls of high load conditions. My background is in audio and my motivation for this line of thought was to build myself a sound system with the only A/C current in it being my audio signal. I liked transformers as a kid, but they aren't nice to sensitive electronics. I would like to continue this conversation further. Thank you, PMW

Hi GNP1 Cardano Stakepool, Prices are up here too. These use to run on Sale once or twice a Year. Not right now. Everything is all about availability. Supply chain disruption. And it's a hassle! Don't see this getting any better either.

@@BuildOrBuy Yes I understand but I tend to find that whatever you pay in USD in the US we have to pay in GBP in UK for instance I bought a Tesla last year for 48,000 GBP and the same model was less than 42,000 USD in the US. Anyway not much I can do about it :)

This thing is a DOG! Now junk. This month, it started cutting out on me, without warning, without reason, crashing the attached computers. Completely shut down. No power line anomalies, not overloaded - only 2 computers running. Got an F03 error which indicates a malfunction of its charging system. Of course, just out of warranty. I bought it because of the perceived benefits, but this thing does NOT LAST. NO longevity. I looked up my notes and see that its predecessor was also a Cyberpower that suddenly went bad, just out of warranty and had to be trashed. I will be going with APC.

Hi KameraShy, Everything You said was why we left APC for CyberPower. We have several of these in service. So far... only One has given up the ghost. The other 5 are still running. Currently We have 4 computers running on 1 UPS. We hope You have better luck with APC than we did. We had 4 APC UPSs that went out at the same time. We contacted APC while under warranty. APC ran us around until the warranties expired. Hopefully, Your results will be better. Bad Gear can happen with any Vendor. Sorry for Your problems. If You do get in touch with Cyberpower, please let Us know their response. CyberPower provides a full 3 year warranty on all of their UPS products, please call their Technical Support Center at 877-297-6937. Thanks for sharing.
